Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea Schedule for Fiscal Year 2010

(January 18, 2010) Tokyo Disneyland® Park and Tokyo DisneySea® Park announced their annual schedule for fiscal year 2010 (April 1, 2010 – March 31, 2011)  The two Parks will continue to offer guests distinctive, Disney-style experiences over the upcoming year with a variety of special events and diverse entertainment programs.

April 1 – June 30, 2010
Special Event at Tokyo Disneyland
“Disney’s Easter Wonderland”
The first Easter-themed special event, filled with wonder and surprise, comes to Tokyo Disneyland this spring. A parade-type entertainment program will be offered with Mickey Mouse and his Disney pals appearing along with popular characters from the Disney film Alice in Wonderland.

April 1 – June 30, 2010
Special Event at Tokyo DisneySea
“Tokyo DisneySea Spring Carnival”
This colorful and dream-filled celebration of spring will be held around Mediterranean Harbor. In the show on the harbor, Tinker Bell and her Disney Fairy friends bring spring to Tokyo DisneySea, filling the port with joy. The fairies are joined by Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals for a festive event to mark this delightful season.

May 1, 2010
Attraction Re-Opens at Tokyo Disneyland
“Monsters, Inc. Ride & Go Seek!”
The popular attraction will re-open with enhancements to the hide-and-go-seek aspect of this ride. With this renewal, new monsters will be hiding throughout the attraction. Moreover, when guests shine their flashlights on the hiding monsters, the helmets worn by the monsters will light up as they come out and reveal themselves. There are also additional appearances by Boo, the human girl. This enhancement will provide everyone with a great opportunity to enjoy anew the fun and wonderful world of the lovable monsters.

July 1 – 7, 2010
Special Program at Tokyo Disneyland
“Tanabata” (Star Festival)
Tokyo Disneyland will host ―Tanabata,‖ the Japanese star festival. Guests can write their wishes on ―Wishing Cards‖ to be hung from a grand centerpiece in World Bazaar. Mickey and Minnie will also greet guests dressed as Hikoboshi and Orihime, the two star-crossed lovers of this festival, for a Disney-style celebration of this annual tradition.

Summer Programs
Fun and cool programs will be offered at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea for a great way to beat the summer heat. At Tokyo Disneyland, guests can cool down with tons of spraying water in the entertainment program “Cool the Heat” presented in front of Cinderella Castle. A new nighttime program “Midsummer Night’s Panic” will also be offered.

At Tokyo DisneySea, the water program ―Chip ‘n Dale‘s Cool Service ‗Deluxe‘‖ will be held again on the waters of Mediterranean Harbor, and “Bon Fire Dance” will heat up the summer nights at Arabian Coast. Furthermore, the “DisneyKids Summer Adventure” program will be offered at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea, providing children with fun and adventure for lasting memories of their summer vacation at the Parks.

Special Event at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea
“Disney’s Halloween”
The perennially popular event takes place at both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. At Tokyo Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and his Disney pals have a new look this year as they host a fun and lively Halloween. And at Tokyo DisneySea, the Disney friends – together with spirits who only make their appearance on Halloween – host a splendid show in the New York area of American Waterfront.

Early November –December 25, 2010
Christmas Special Events at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea At Tokyo Disneyland, the Disney friends will appear in a fantasy-filled parade where they frolic in a magical snowfall. And at Tokyo DisneySea, a new show themed to ―Christmas around the Seven Seas with the Disney Friends‖ at Waterfront Park and other heartwarming entertainment will be presented, making for a truly fantastic Christmas event.

Winter 2011
New Attraction at Tokyo Disneyland
“Mickey’s PhilharMagic”
A theater-type attraction employing Disney‘s 3-D technology will open in Fantasyland. Guests are invited into the theater for an orchestra concert, but Donald Duck causes a commotion, taking the Guests on a musical whirlwind through popular Disney films. It‘s fun-filled philharmonic mayhem, with Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and other Disney characters popping out of the screen to just an arm‘s reach away from the Guests.
