Disneyland Resort President Announces New Cast Member Programs

On February 8, Disneyland® Resort President George A. Kalogridis announced a series of new and enhanced Cast Member-focused programs to become available over the next several months, leading up to the 55th anniversary of Disneyland® Park on July 17. Kalogridis stated in his message to Cast Members that "from 1955 until today, our emphasis on our guests and Cast has made us successful, and will continue to be just as important over the next 50 years too."
These new programs are part of our ongoing efforts to continually look for ways to enhance the experience for Disneyland® Resort Cast Members and focus on Cast priorities — making dollars go further, strengthening family and sense of community, and developing life skills.
They include:
-
Cast Food Connection, an opportunity for Cast Members to buy groceries at a discount;
-
Availability for Cast Members to purchase items from refurbished hotel rooms at an exclusive discount;
-
A renewed focus on work/life balance tools and programs; and
-
For Cast Members for whom English is not their first language, access to services that enhance English-speaking skills.
These programs will be in addition to the many existing Cast Member offerings such as LifeCare (free multilingual resources to assist with a variety of life needs from homework help to free legal advice), back-up childcare and elder care when regular caregivers are unavailable, free bilingual income tax assistance, and Wellness Rewards and exercise programs.
