Tokyo Disneyland Schedule for Fiscal Year 2011

(October 21, 2010) Tokyo Disneyland® Park announced its annual schedule for fiscal year 2011 (April 1, 2011 – March 31, 2012). The Park will continue to offer guests distinctive, Disney-style experiences over the upcoming year with a variety of special events and diverse entertainment programs. Please see below for more details (in chronological order).

April 1 – June 30
Special Event
“Disney’s Easter Wonderland”
This whimsical Easter-themed special event, now in its second year, is hosted by Mickey Mouse dressed as the Easter Bunny and his Disney pals. There will be parades and decorations for a unique Disney take on the Easter festivities.

April 15
New Attraction Grand Opening
Cinderella’s Fairy Tale Hall
This new walkthrough-type attraction will be located inside Cinderella Castle.Guests can wander through gorgeous rooms that bring to life the world of the Disney classic film Cinderella and view paintings, diorama, and other artworks that follow the story of the beloved princess.

July 1 – 7
Special Program
“Tanabata” (Star Festival)
Tokyo Disneyland will host ―Tanabata,‖ the Japanese star festival. Guests can write their wishes on cards to be hung from a grand centerpiece in World Bazaar. Mickey and Minnie will also greet guests dressed as Hikoboshi and Orihime, the two star-crossed lovers of this festival, for a Disney-style celebration of this annual tradition.

July 8
Enhanced Nighttime Parade Debuts
Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights
This beautiful parade of lights will be enhanced with four additional floats featuring the Genie, Aladdin and Jasmine from the Disney film Aladdin, Tinker Bell and her Disney fairy friends, as well as Woody and Buzz from the Disney/Pixar film series Toy Story.

Note: “Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade Dreamlights” will be on hiatus from May 9 to July 7.
During this period, a special parade normally presented on rainy nights will be performed every night.

July 8 – August 31
Summer Programs
The theme this year is ―pirates.‖ During the day, guests can cool down with tons of spraying water in the entertainment program “Cool the Heat.” This year, a ―pirate‖ Goofy wreaks watery havoc in the area. And at night, Capt. Jack Sparrow appears amidst shooting flames and spraying water in a program themed to the Disney film series Pirates of the Caribbean.

July 8 – August 31
DisneyKids Summer Adventure
A variety of activities just for kids, that will create treasured memories of their summer vacation, will be available at the Park. Kids can join in the ―Naminamina,‖ a fun dance with the Disney characters, or take part in a learning activity that will spark their curiosity and sense of adventure.

September 9 – October 31
Special Event
“Disney’s Halloween”
At Tokyo Disneyland, Mickey Mouse and his pals enjoy a high-spirited parade down ―Halloween Street‖ with the restless, fun-loving ghosts. Guests along the parade route can join in the fun for a spooky kooky Halloween party.

November 7 – December 25
Special Event
“Christmas Fantasy”
Christmas is a time when the Park is at its most beautiful, decked with holiday decorations and sparkling with gorgeous illuminations. During this period, guests can enjoy a Christmas parade as well as other programs only available during this season.

December 31
Special Event
“Tokyo Disneyland Countdown Party 2012”
Spectacular entertainment will be offered to count down to the New Year in this program offered during special operating hours at Tokyo Disneyland.

January 1 to 5, 2012
Special Program
“New Year’s Program”
Traditional Japanese New Year’s decorations will welcome guests to the Park and the Disney friends will be dressed in New Year’s kimono to wish guests a happy New Year.
