(April 14, 2011) Variety is pleased to announce that Sean Bailey, President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Production, will be the Opening Keynote speaker at its Entertainment and Technology Summit on May 2 at the Ritz-Carlton in Marina del Rey.

Bailey oversees all live-action development, film production and physical production for Walt Disney Pictures. Recently, Bailey produced Disney’s TRON: Legacy, whose transmedia launch across platforms strongly ties into the Summit’s theme of technology’s impact on entertainment. Other producing credits for Bailey include Gone Baby Gone and Matchstick Men.

Disney launches its summer film season with Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, in theaters in 3D on May 20.
