Celebs Recite Poetry for Disney Junior's 'A Poem Is...' for National Poetry Month

RECITE POETRY FOR NEW INSTALLMENTS OF DISNEY JUNIOR'S
"A POEM IS...," TO PREMIERE DURING NATIONAL POETRY MONTH
Caroline Kennedy, Kenneth Branagh and Vanessa Williams help introduce young children to the beauty of a poem, reciting works by A.A. Milne, Sara Coleridge, Eliza Lee Follen and Ann and Jane Taylor, in new installments of Disney Junior's short-form series "A Poem Is...," MONDAY, APRIL 25 - FRIDAY, APRIL 29 (9:55 a.m., ET/PT) during National Poetry Month. Previously announced poetry readers are Jennifer Garner, Katie Holmes, Whoopi Goldberg and Alfred Molina.
Actress and recording artist Williams said: "Poetry fuels the imagination of everyone who reads. For a child, it opens a new world of discovery and always sparks dialogue for interpretation. What a great way to learn, memorize and share."
"A Poem Is..." showcases poems for children set to animation from such beloved Disney films as "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," "Dumbo," "Cinderella," "Bambi," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Lady and the Tramp." Designed to cultivate fond memories of Disney classics for parents and create new ones for kids by introducing then to the beauty of poetry, featured poems include works by Robert Louis Stevenson, John Howard Payne, A.A. Milne and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, among others.

- Tuesday, April 26 - "The Months" - poem by Sara Coleridge; narrated by Kenneth Branagh
