Animal Kingdom Sundowner Celebration June 3-30

June 3 - 30 Disney’s Animal Kingdom will hold a Sundowner Celebration during the late afternoon, and into the early evening hours. Discovery Island, Anandapur and Harambe will have cultural experiences, diverse forms of atmosphere entertainment, unique folk art and merchandise, specialty food and beverage offerings with food demonstrations and encounters with nature and animals. Most of the events will take place after Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade until park close. Below is an overview of what will be offered in each area.

The Jambo Jeep in the Oasis which will serve as the adventurer’s tip board.

Discovery Island

• Unique art available that celebrates nature and animals
• The Island Groove – a lively steel drum group performing throughout the area
• Viva Gaia Street Band! – a colorful multi-cultural music troupe leading the street party 
• Interactive activities at the flamingo exhibit

Harambe Village - Africa

• Mombasa Marketplace features visiting artists and work by wood-carvers, painters, jewelry and henna artists
• Premium dining at Tusker House, specialty food and beverage at Kusafiri, Tamu Tamu and the Dawa Bar 
• Food demonstrations
• Wine-Walk & Juice Tasting, a premium offering over-looking Harambe’s waterfront 
• Street party featuring Harambe’s Tam Tam Drummers and the Burudika Band

 Anandapur - Asia

• Expanded merchandise offerings at Mandala Gifts, including an Asian henna artist
• Along Bradley Falls, a tantalizing selection of specialty foods and beverages
• Educational tea-brewing demonstration hosted by Joffrey’s
• Entertaining cooking demonstrations featuring Asian-inspired delights such as summer rolls and Pan-Asian fried rice.
• Entertainment by artists playing traditional instruments
• Authentic cultural dance and street party with Bhangra DJ Anaan (Refer to the weekly Tell-a-Cast guide for set times.)
