Michelle has Valentine's Day suggestions plus news of some changes hear the top at the Disneyland Resort.

Changes at the top: George Kalogridis, who was brought here from Florida a while back to be Senior Vice President of Operations, is returning home to a new responsibility: he’s the new Vice President in charge of Downtown Disney (that includes West Side and Pleasure Island.) Also, Randall Baumberger, who moved up from Regional Entertainment to Downtown Disney and the Disneyland Resort Hotels has gotten a promotion. Randy’s title hasn’t been finalized yet, but word has it that he’s in charge of “everything that has a cash register except the ticket booths”. Why is this latter move good news? Randy’s been, from what I’ve seen, one of the management types who follows the rule that if you give people the highest quality of Disney Magic, the money will follow.

Valentine’s Day: There’s Still Time!
Napa Rose may be sold out for Valentine’s Day, but there’s still a lot to do, says Kelly Bozarth. Hook’s Pointe, for instance, is having a romantic “Couples Dessert” in the Wine Cellar, where couples can cozy up with sparkling California wine and a trio of sumptuous desserts. At the PCH Grill, there’s a Valentine’s Day Champagne dinner, with wine pairings for each course of the meal available. All of the Downtown Disney restaurants have menu specials for Valentine’s Day as well, including Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen.

It doesn’t stop with dining, however: Build-a-Bear has a special Valentine’s Cub, who is wearing a romantic red robe. Any creature you build there this month goes home in a special pink box. What is the most romantic gift Kelly recommends? A spa treatment at the Grand Californian’s Eureka Springs Spa. I have yet to try it, but she recommends one of the eight different massages, including Swedish and aromatherapy followed by dinner and a movie. “It’s a perfect day.” She says.
