Welcome the July 11th Disneyland Update. This update focuses on construction at Disney's California Adventure, Downtown Disney and Disney's Grand Californian Hotel plus lots of merchandise pictures and a few other items - over 80 pictures in all plus video.
Rehabs and Upcoming
Attractions currently or soon closed for refurbishment include:
- Disneyland Monorail - Resumes round-trip operation on November 21
Upcoming Events and Special Notes
- The new Autopia officially opened to the public on June 29th. For a complete report of opening ceremonies, a pictorial and video ride-through and interviews see our Autopia article.
- On May 15th Disneyland announced opening dates for Disney's
California Adventure (DCA):

For more information, read our Guide to Disney's California Adventure. - Guests can now purchase a Disney's Walk of Magical Memories brick. These bricks, customized with names and a date, will be placed between the entrances of Disneyland and Disney' California Adventure. Price is $150 (the Premium Annual Passport discount does apply). - Disneyland has released details for merchandising events surrounding it's July 17th 45th birthday. Click here for more details and be sure to see the related links on that page for pictures of the merchandise.
- Due to the construction at the Disneyland Pacific Hotel, the main entrance will be blocked from July 16-18. The restaurant will be open, however, and a secondary entrance will be available just outside. Look for signs to show you the way.
