Welcome the September 22nd Disneyland Update. This update once again focuses on construction at Disney's California Adventure, Downtown Disney and the Grand Californian. There are also lots of in-park construction pictures and some new merchandise -  over 150 pictures in all.

Rehabs and Upcoming
Attractions currently or soon closed for refurbishment include:

• Disneyland Monorail - Resumes round-trip operation on November 21
• Big Thunder Mountain Railroad - Reopens November 11th.
• Sailing Ship Columbia - Reopens November 22
• Fantasmic! - Returns November 17
• The Disney Gallery - Reopens September 23
• Jolly Trolley - Reopening date to be determined

Upcoming Events and Special Notes

• On Sunday, September 24th, four limited-edition pins - representing each of the Disney's California Adventure districts and the entrance plaza - will be released at the DCA Preview Center on Main Street. The price for each pin is $10 and they are limited to 2001 each.
  
• It's September, time to start thinking about it - "A Disney Family Holiday" handouts are now available at the Disney hotels. In it is a schedule for the 2000 holiday season including a nightly tree lighting ceremony, storytelling, the holiday Fantasy Waters show, strolling carolers and Santa Claus himself. The fun runs from November 23rd through January 2nd.
  
• Some details of 2001 Vacation Packages at Disneyland have been released including some information on ticketing for Disney's California Adventure. Click here for that story.
  
• The Annual Passholder newsletter has announed the following Disney's California Adventure Annual Passholder preview information:

  Save the date for a Pre-Grand opening peek at Disney's
  California Adventure Park
  Saturday, February 3 or Sunday, February 4, 2001

  February 3 and February 4 have been set aside for Disneyland Annual Passholders to get a special peek just before the "grand Opening" week of Disney's California Adventure Park. Disneyland Annual Passholders with valid Annual Passports will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for either of these special dates.

  Details to come later. All information subject to change.

• From August 27 through December 21, Disneyland is offering their 5 day, 4 night Fall Getaway package. Click here for more information or to book travel with Dreams Unlimited Travel.
• Guests can now purchase a Disney's Walk of Magical Memories brick. These bricks, customized with names and a date, will be placed between the entrances of Disneyland and Disney' California Adventure. Price is $150 (the Premium Annual Passport discount does apply).
