"There are many worlds, but they share the same sky-one sky, one destiny…"

Kingdom Hearts is coming! Those four grammatically improbable words will stir the hearts of many video gamers and Disney fans. Others may be a bit mystified. But by the end of this article, Kingdom Hearts should be high on your list of things to do this Fall.

Although there has been a lot of interest in Kingdom Hearts for some time now, it was not until the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles that most American reporters were able to see it up close and personal. A creative collaboration between Disney Interactive and SquareSoft (the creators of Final Fantasy™), the new game is already a major hit in Japan. It is scheduled to debut in the United States in the Fall of 2002 for the PlayStation 2 ®.

What makes Kingdom Hearts of such interest to both Disney fans and gamers is its unique combination of classic video game fantasy/adventure and well known Disney characters and settings. Over 100 Disney characters, ranging from beloved classics to contemporary favorites, interact in highly detailed worlds drawn from Disney films, as well as in settings created specifically for Kingdom Hearts.
