Coverage of the World Premiere of Treasure Planet held November 17th at the Cinerama Done.
On November 17th Disney's latest animated features, Treasure Planet, had its world premiere at the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood. Following the premiere guests were allowed to visit Port of Discovery, the interactive area behind the El Capitan Theater that will be open to guests who see the film there when it opens on November 27th. Our report below includes pictures and interviews from the Red Carpet and a preview of Port of Discovery.

Art Director Andy Gaskill talked about transforming the tale of Treasure Island into a sci-fi adventure. He talked about the blending of traditional and 3d animation throughout the film. Some characters are hand drawn, some are computer generated and others are components of both.
