A look at Walt Disney World's newest firework show, Wishes at The Magic Kingdom.

On Thursday evening, October 8th, the Magic Kingdom officially debuted a new pyrotechnic show entitled Wishes. Through the music of classic Disney films and hundreds of brightly colored fireworks guests can relive the magical Disney moments when wishes came true.

The show begins with the classic children's rhyme Star light, Star bright and "When you Wish Upon a Star" as bright comets shoot over Cinderella's Castle. Jiminy Cricket, the evening's host, reminds us that magical events are often started with a wish. Suddenly Tinker Bell appears and flies over the crowd as comets pass in the background. A medley of songs with character quotes begins including Ariel saying "Wish I could be part of your world" and Pinocchio wishing to be a real boy.

As the show continues the pyrotechnics waltz to various princess tunes including Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast. As large blue fireworks noisily appear in the sky Genie's voice echoes through the air, "10,000 years..." and the skies continue to be peppered by a variety of colors during the high tempo numbers Prince Ali and Friend Like Me.

Later the mood turns a bit for a medley of villainous anthems including Nightmare on Bald Mountain and Poor Unfortunate Souls. Jiminy Cricket warns us to be careful what we wish for. A large blue firework shines above the castle and the Blue Fairy encourages us to always believe in wishes for they are the magic in the world. She invites us to put our hearts together and make a wish come true.

As the show comes to its finale, Jiminy Cricket reminds us that all our wishes will come true when if you believe with all your heart.
