Trivia Week
Speaking of Trivia, I want to give a big thank you to three people who make the trivia
contests possible.
Matthew Walker wrote the LaughingPlace.com trivia contests for a few months. Time doesn't allow him to do it anymore, but the time he did give perhaps saved the contest. At the time he started I was really struggling to have enough time to do everything I need to do on the site and the contests were in danger of falling by the wayside. Fortunately, Matthew stepped in, did an amazing job (better than I ever did or do) and kept it going for months. For the 100th contest Matthew not only wrote all 50 questions, he also wrote two wonderful articles about the Disney Store trivia contests. The unsung hero of the Trivia Contests is Dave Mastanich. Every week he's the guy that gets to grade them all, and when the results are late, don't blame Dave - blame me. He almost always gets them to me on time, but it sometimes takes me time to get it on the site. Dave's most recent feat was grading the 50 question 100th contest which had 226 entries. That's more than 11,000 answers. Of course Dave couldn't get through all those on his own, could he? Of course not, which brings us to the third person...
Stephanie Mastanich - Dave's teenage daughter who willingly (or not) helped Dave get through that monster. She's also helped out several times in the past. Hi Steph :)
Finally, congratulations to disneynut, Yen Sid, MrWharff, DlandDug and DisMGMboy for being the top 5 finishers in the big contest. All got all 50 questions correct. Five others also got them all correct - Hopemax, figment10, Zazu, CJC and lochma. And congrads to the 5 lucky random winners as well - 45YearsOfMagic, kajs, soccerpluto, jmbjork007 and pipsters.
Two Years
LaughingPlace.com is coming up on its 2 year anniversary - August 1st, to be exact. I
