#5: Rebekah and I spent a night at the Paradise Pier Hotel (I believe it was still the Disneyland Pacific Hotel at the time) a few months before DCA opened. It gave us a great chance to get some pictures of the construction. But the best picture to come out of it was the one you see below. I woke up very early this morning and just snapped picture after picture as the sun rose. This is the one that made the cut.

#4: Lots of time was spent watching the attractions test and adjust. But it wasn't until we saw this that we realized the big cheese himself was out there working hard. As I recall we had lunch at PCH Grill then went up to the third floor to see what we could see ... and this is what we saw.

#3: Let it never be said that the LP staff won't go to great lengths to get a picture for you! The Torrance Airport had an open house day which included rides on a small airplane. I was too chicken but Rebekah and her little brother did it. They asked to go over Disneyland, the pilot obliged and we got this incredible Disneyland update photo.

#1a and #1b: After nearly a year and a half of watching it go up from the outside, what a relief to finally get inside. In those early days an unbelievable number of pictures were taken. And some of my favorites were the night shots (I love playing with the long exposures). I couldn't decide which of the two shots of Paradise Pier below was my favorite. So I used them both and called them a tie!

And there you have it - the first Editor's Report "Top 10 Pics". I do hope to do more in the future, and I hope you enjoyed this trip down memory lane.
