Album Title: Return to Neverland
Album Type: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
What’s Good About It: John McNeely’s score achieves the appropriate flights of fancy, most notably in the main title’s evocations of songs from the original Peter Pan.
What’s Not So Good About It: The overly contemporary songs, penned by such disparate acts as They Might Be Giants (!) and Jonatha Brooke. No lyrics here either.
Toon Talk Rating: C+

Album Title: Tron
Album Type: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
What’s Good About It: Wendy Carlos’ eerie-cool electronic score still resonates today, twenty years after the film’s release. Never-before released bonus tracks include a haunting keyboard solo of the main theme.
What’s Not So Good About It: Not one, but two tracks by Eighties has-beens Journey.  The recent DVD had two missing score tracks, for the Light Cycle scene and end credits, notably absent here.

Album Title: Who Framed Roger Rabbit
Album Type: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
What’s Good About It: Another Disney soundtrack rarity, Alan Silvestri’s eclectic score mixes everything from classic Hollywood bombast to film noir atmospherics to freewheeling toon tunes. Highlight: Amy Irving’s sultry Jessica Rabbit torch number, “Why Don’t You Do Right?”.
What’s Not So Good About It: No lyrics, otherwise this soundtrack is perfect.
