WDW Resort Pin Events
Princess Ball Pin Event - Lights, Camera, Action...On With The Pin Show
& The Animal Kingdom’s Pin-O-Rama

More cool pin events - for the east coast collectors - are planned for the WDW Resorts.

First up is the "Princess Ball Pin Event" to be held on February 23rd at Magic Kingdom. This pin event will feature logo and limited edition pins as well as a sneak peak at some of the pins that will be released at the WDW Resort in the near future. Michelle Morrow - a Disney Design Group artist and favorite pin designer will be signing the event pins - which she designed. And a new pin "technology" has been incorporated - "convex" pins aren’t 3D or pin-on-pin - but a new method that allows you to feel the details of the design on the pin’s surface.

Michelle was the artist for the Downtown Disney Marketplace event pins last year and she has designed the following pins for this event - with a few special "touches" to their design:

  • Simply Beautiful Sleeping Beauty - Aurora is dressed in pink with 4 jewels and glitter accents. LE 1,500 $12.50
  • Belle of the Ball - Belle awaits the Beast in her signature golden gown with colored jewels inset. LE 1500 $12.50
  • Cinderella ready for the Ball - Cinderells awaits the Ball in the gown created by her fairy godmother with jewels inset. LE 1500 $12.50
  • Stunning Jasmine - Princess Jasmine wears her lavender gown, which is inset with 4 violet-colored jewels. LE 1500 $12.50
  • Lovely Snow White - In her gown laced several with yellow jewels. LE 1500 $12.50
  • Princess Bride Ariel - Ariel awaits her bridegroom, Eric, in her white jeweled wedding gown. LE 1500 $12.50

  • And the Artist Choice pin for the event will be the Evil Queen with the Magic Mirror by her side is draped in black and purple with inset jewels. LE 3500 $10.50

There will also be a map adventure for this event themed to the Princesses preparing for the Ball. The open edition pins for the event will be the Princes for each Princess. There will also be a completion pin for the map. Attendees will also have the first opportunity to purchase the Limited Edition pins - as well as the chance at a secondary drawing for the remaining pins. Lights, Camera, Action... On With The Pin Show
March 16th at the Disney-MGM Studios

On March 16th the the Disney-MGM Studios will be the scene for the "Lights, Camera, Action...On With The Pin Show" pin event. This event will be themed to feature the various live entertainment shows - past and present - at the Disney-MGM Studios. Including - Beauty and the Beast - Hunchback of Notre Dame - Playhouse Disney - Voyage of the Little Mermaid - Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular and One Man’s Dream. All of the pins for the event will be Limited Editions of 1,500 pieces and will sell in the $10.50 to $12.50 price range. The event’s Artists Choice pin will be themed to The Great Movie Ride. Pins for the event are to be designed by DDG artist Jeff Ebersohl.

The Animal Kingdom Pin-O-Rama
April 13th at Disney’s AnimalKingdom

There is also a pin event in the planning stages to be held at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on April 13th. The Animal Kingdom Pin-O-Rama is on the calendar with some exciting additions - this event will happen after dark and the park is closed - it will offer a dinner package and will feature six to eight LE 1,500 pins and an event map - the designer has yet to be named and the event has yet to be priced. This event will also feature a "Blind Auction" at which guests can bid for some very rare and VERY low LE pins.
