The crowd in front of the Premiere Shop was virtually non-existent shortly after the park opened - this was the location for the event redemption center.

the queue -

A lesson hard learned. For the comfort of those of us who wanted to purchase the seven LE Where’s Mickey? pins the merchandise powers that be decided to use the underground - and air-conditioned - queue for what was Rocket Rods. I’m impressed that this one change made so much difference in the mood of the pin-buying guests. I heard very few complaints - certainly far fewer than for the previous event. It seems that a comfortable guest is a happy guest. We still spent very nearly two hours in line - but it was two comfortable hours and we played "name that tune" and not "who would you fire first?"

This one operational change made a HUGE difference and it was reflected in the faces of both guests and CMs alike, as tempers and frustrations were considerably shorter. The venue still had an over-crowded feeling, as the lines for the registers weren’t very well controlled - but - they seemed to work through the guests efficiently.

We got into the line at about 10:15AM and were inside the building in about 20 minutes. The guests were very well behaved and very little complaining was heard.

Getting closer to the Premiere Shop - while we spent approximately the same amount of time in line as we did for the SoundStation event - we were much more comfortable - and much less sunburned - and we had a much better time visiting with other "pin crazies".
