The Toon Talk Top 10 - Three for the Road:

Home on the Range has not one, not two, but three memorable threesomes: our heroes the cows, plus the dim-witted Willie Brothers and the piglet triplets. Following is a list of more Disney animated trios that you rarely see apart:

  2. Huey, Dewey and Louie, first seen in Donald’s Nephews (1938).
  3. The Good Faeries (Flora, Fauna and Merryweather) in Sleeping Beauty (1959).
  4. Duchess’ Kittens (Marie, Berlioz and Toulouse) in The Aristocrats (1970).
  5. The Witches of Morva (Orddu, Orwen and Orgoch) in The Black Cauldron (1985).
  6. Lock, Shock and Barrel in Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993).
  7. The Hyenas (Shenzi, Banzai and Ed) in The Lion King (1994).
  8. The Gargoyles (Victor, Hugo and Laverne) in The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1996).
  9. The Fates in Hercules (1997).
  10. Yao, Ling and Chien-Po in Mulan (1998).
