HERCULES and MEGARA

Film: Hercules (1997)
Voice Actors: Tate Donovan and Susan Egan
"Their" Song: "I Won't Say (I'm in Love)"
DVD: Available

He is the hunky yet slightly awkward hero of mythological Greece; she, a shady lady with "a past". And oh yeah, he's the son of Zeus. No wonder Meg finds it difficult to not say she's in love with this "wonder boy".

DUCHESS and J. THOMAS O'MALLEY

Film: The Aristocrats (1970)
Voice Actors: Eva Gabor and Phil Harris
"Their" Song: "Ev'rybody Wants To Be A Cat"
DVD: Available

In romantic Paris, a high society housecat meets a jazz era alley cat, and love blooms, despite a catnapping butler, a couple of nosey geese and three precocious kittens. Dig their groovy dance ... on their hind legs! ... in the Scat Cat jam session.

AND THEY CALL IT PUPPY LOVE ...
Man's best friend can certainly fall in love just as well as his master.

PLUTO and DINAH

Film: Multiple appearances, beginning with The Sleepwalker (1942)
DVD: The Complete Pluto, Volume 1

Although Pluto was seen with Fifi in some earlier shorts, it's the seductive dachshund Dinah who later captured his heart and co-starred with him in several shorts, including the memorable Canine Casanova (1945) and Pluto's Heart Throb (1950).

PONGO and PERDITA

Film: 101 Dalmatians (1961)
Voice Actors: Rod Taylor and Cate Bauer/Lisa Daniels
"Their" Song: "Dalmatian Plantation"
DVD: Available

It was love at first sight for Pongo and Perdita, who went so far as to play matchmakers for their "pets" in order to be together. Most romantic moment: the "double wedding", with the dogs "exchanging vows" outside the church window.

Love in the Far East and the Old West

FA MULAN and CAPTAIN LI SHANG

Film: Mulan (1998)
Voice Actors: Ming-Na Wen and B.D. Wong
"Their" Song: "True To Your Heart"
DVD: Available

One can debate exactly when Shang fell for Mulan (was it before or after the big revelation?), but in the end there is no question about his feelings; like the Emperor says, "you don't meet a girl like that in every dynasty".

PECOS BILL and SLUE FOOT SUE

Film: Melody Time (1948)
"Their" Song: "Blue Shadows on the Trail"
DVD: Available

What type of woman can come between a rootin' tootin' cowboy and his faithful horse? How about one that can ride a giant trout and make your pistols fire with just one kiss? She best not try to ride his horse, though ...
