The Retirement
At 8:30 p.m. guests were seated under the canopy of the Plaza Gardens. Tim O'Day of Walt Disney Art Classics appeared to announce the retirement of a WDCC collection. When a collection is retired the molds are broken.
Suddenly
the festivities were interrupted by the sound of dogs barking and Horace and Jasper
appeared. They were attempting to apologize for interrupting when the screech of
tires halted the proceedings again and Cruella DeVil marched out on stage. She was
angry at the two incompetents who were unable to catch the puppies and picked up several
of the molds that were on the table and tossed them at the two, smashing the molds to
pieces.
Tim was able to stop her and explained that in throwing that final mold she would be able to "retire those puppies" for good. She then threw the final mold against the wall smashing it. Thanks to Cruella the 101 Dalmatians pieces from Walt Disney Classic Collectibles have been retired.
