The Rainforest Cafe in November
Continuing on guests cross a bridge over Disneyland Drive to reach the West Side Garden District. On your right is Rainforest Cafe, a popular themed-restaurant chain around the world. Across from Rainforest Cafe is a 12-screen AMC Theater themed to a 1920s Art Deco movie palace. And next to Rainforest Cafe is ESPN Zone, a sports-themed complete divided into three sections: The Studio Grill, a sit-down restaurant with television monitors all around. The Screening Room, the ultimate place to watch sports including a 16 foot screen, 12 36-inch screens and tiered seating. And The Sports Arena featuring interactive games - some developed exclusively for ESPN Zones. Also recently announced for Downtown Disney is a Lego Imagination Center offering a huge variety of the latest Lego products.

Downtown Disney will also feature a number of smaller shops and counter service restaurants including Department 56, Something Silver, Wetzel's Pretzels, Haagen-Dazs and several others. There is no charge to enter Downtown Disney and it is likely to be popular with locals as well as visitors to the theme parks. Unlike the rest of the expansion which grand opens on February 8th, Downtown Disney has its grand opening on January 12, 2001.
