...we burst into the light and fall down the side of the
volcano in an exhilarating weightless drop!

We bottom out suddenly, back in complete darkness, with a deep and powerful sound of air compressing in the cave in front of us that is like nothing I've heard before.
We shed our momentum during a dark trip through the upper rim
of the Caldera, with a brief opening to the outside world, just before our arrival at the
unload area.

We exit our vehicle and descend several flights down a dark
staircase which rings this large pipe. (We're looking up at it here.)
