Barry Braverman: But before Tower of Terror opens we’re very excited to premiere another addition to Disney’s California Adventure this fall. It’s a brand new place to explore that we think kids of all ages will enjoy, an oversized world that celebrates our miniature friends from A Bug’s Life. Now this Bug’s Land which is a newly themed area within the Golden State was inspired by the characters and settings of the wonderful Disney - Pixar animated film A Bug’s Life and within this new land is Flik’s Fun Fair which is 1 1/3 acres of fun devoted to the young and the young at heart. This is a whimsical experience where guests will get to see the world from a bug’s point of view. We’ve had a wonderful opportunity to work very closely with John Lasseter, the genius from Pixar in creating this land and we know that children and adults alike are going to love it. So to help give us a sneak preview it’s my special pleasure to welcome to very animated friends from A Bug's Life, Flik and Princess Atta.

Imagine stepping into a place where garden hoses, pebbles and blades of grass take on huge proportions. Where abandoned umbrellas become circus tents, and old boxes become rides. This land will have four rides in it; one of them is called Flik’s Flyers designed by our famous inventor Flik where guests can take to the sky in hot air balloons. We also have Tuck & Roll’s Drive ‘Em Buggies where guests will climb behind the wheel of tiny two passenger bumper cars and experience the craziness under PT Flea’s circus tent. Then we’ll have Heimlich’s Chew-Chew Train (and that’s C-H-E-W) where Heimlich the ever-hungry caterpillar takes guests on a train ride in search of tasty treats. We also have Frances’ ladybug boogie where you take off on a wild ride along a figure 8 path but watch out for those ladybugs spinning to the boogie-woogie beat. We have Princess Dot’s Puddle Park where you’ll be able to create your own splash with your friends under giant sized sprinklers and hoses.
