One of the delights of Moteurs... Action! is looking at the structure of the set as you walk towards it; a vast horizon line of a building outline in grey with even more grey, then as you walk though the left hand side and through the set, the moment of 'in shot' becomes apparent, and its spot on.
The park amazed me in its production values. The sound and lighting systems are quite simply phenomenal. The sound feels wall to wall, the lighting systems used are some of the best on the market, and quite European. The parade route of truss poles and Coemar lighting lead a trail to the vastly improved Rock ‘n‘ Roller Coaster, teasing you through to a concert rigging ride of stunning lights shows and heavy sound.
Leaving after eleven hours, I concluded that I had perhaps only enjoyed myself more on the opening day of Animal Kingdom.This park may not be the most beautiful, expensive, innovative of the recent explosion of Disney parks, but it has some adventurous touches, very decent attractions and there has been a thought process. It's funny how you wait and wait for a bus for ages, and then three come along at once. It doesn't quite beat Disney's California Adventure as the company's most fascinating theme park venture of the last 380 days, and I guess I'll just have to wait for 2006 to experience the next one!
