At that point, the ceremony concluded. The entire auditorium stood as the newly anointed Legends left the theatre and entered the exit lobby. There, the Legends gathered for several photo calls featuring Roy before leaving their handprints in cement.
The ceremony itself was a personal highlight of the festivities and one that I shall cherish forever. The ceremony was particularly low-key and informal, unlike the ceremonies that take place in front of Michael Graves’ Team Disney building on the Burbank lot. However, the ceremony seemed perfect, as the modesty of the Legends was evident throughout. Each spoke of their love and affection for Walt, and even those who had never met him, like Phil Collins and Sir Tim Rice talked fondly of their motivation and inspiration from Walt’s personal work.

In the next update, I hope to cover the 10th birthday celebration that was held in advance, by Roy at the new Central Plaza stage in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. In addition, we are returning to Disneyland Resort Paris for the actual 10th birthday on Friday.
