  • Photograph opportunities;….are numerous! Cast photographers can be found throughout the ship for the duration of the cruise. They are there to record those special moments with the characters and prior to dining. The quality of the photos is usually excellent, although the cost can soon rack up. There is no obligation to purchase the photos and all snapshots can be seen in Shutters on Deck Four Aft the next day. Guests should be aware that Shutters only operates whilst the ship is in international waters to avoid local taxes and duties. In addition, photographs unsold at the end of the day are usually removed to make room for the next day’s intake. Therefore do not wait to view the pictures!

  • Enjoy the shows! There is plenty of entertainment throughout the day, and there is usually at least one show daily in the stunning Walt Disney Theatre. There are two performances of each show to coincide with each dining seating. The entertainment is first-class and a fantastic way to start the evening, especially if you are in the later seating for dinner. The Buena Vista Theatre screens Disney classics and more recent fare like The Rookie and Disney’s Country Bears. These shows run continuously throughout the day from approximately 11am.

  • Book Palo’s; If your party contains a few over-18s, a vacation onboard the DCL is simply not complete without a trip to Deck Ten and Palo’s. This adult-only restaurant does not participate in the rotation-dining plan and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis. The cost is included in the vacation, but a gratuity of just $5 is levied per person. I can assure you that you will not spend a $5 buck note any wiser on any Disney vacation. The service is impeccable, the food the best onboard and the wine list to die for. This restaurant’s offerings are comparable to the California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Citricos at Disney’s Grand Floridian Beach Resort.

  • Check the Daily Scheduler; The planning guide is delivered each day to your stateroom. It is an essential guide to the daily activities held onboard and guests will find themselves checking it regularly.
