LP: You also have to do your job under a microscope...

CH: Your microscope (laughs)

LP: My microscope...

CH: And a few others (laughs)

LP: Many others. How does that influence your job? Does it make you do anything differently?

CH: That’s an interesting question. I don’t know if it’s different. I don’t think I’m doing anything different. I have always personally strived to do the best job that I can every day with anything that I’ve done, but I think this is why I was attracted to the Disney Company and why I love being here at Disneyland. We hold ourselves to such a high standard that is so extraordinary because we recognize the microscope, to me, is our guest. There’re always other people in a business environment, but our guests are the microscope and frankly I like that. It makes us pause and always make a consideration of what will the impact of this decision be to our guests, to our cast members for the long term, and if anything it’s a good stop and pause. I hope we do that all the time. If nothing else, it’s a good thing for us to have that extra pause.

LP: One more question.

CH: Sure.

LP: You're a very approachable President of the Disneyland Resort. I've seen you at NFFC and other events and you're always talking to people.  You personally don’t necessarily have to be out there talking to guests as much as you do. Why do you feel it is such an important part of your job?

CH: Because I like it (laughs). Honestly, that's first - I love it. I am a big Disney fan. Just like at many of the events that we invite our guests to, I enjoy them. I will also say I love our guests. I get a kick out of it. I just love it when people tell me the stories about what they like and frankly the other part - something we can improve upon. I think everybody should be out there and I hope you’ve seen there is a lot more activity out there with our leaders being with our guests to understand what they need so we can serve them better. There is no better way to get the message than to get it first hand.
