#60 reliever Scott Schoeneweis, #10 Bengie Gil, #18 Alex Ochoa, #8 Chone Figgins were important pieces of the Angels success. Ochoa filled the gap while TIm Salmon was on the disabled list and was often brought into the games in late evenings for his defensive skills. Gil was part of the Angels powerful second base platoon ending the season with a .307 average.
