Disney's Carnival Party

DLRP had planned to celebrate this year’s inaugural Jungle Book Carnival by inviting guests into the Magic Kingdom for a special evening of entertainment, celebrating the famous carnival spirit from around the world, including New Orleans, the Caribbean, Brazil and Africa on March 1 2003. However, due to poor ticket sales (and the disappointing attendance figures for the earlier Chinese New Year parties at the Walt Disney Studios), the event was cancelled Wednesday, with no new date.

The park would have closed at 8pm and re-opened to event guests at 9pm. The party was due to continue until 2am with selected attractions, restaurants, boutiques and Lands open for guest enjoyment. Live entertainment would have been found throughout the park, tailored to each land to ensure that all can enjoy the party atmosphere!

Although DLRP are have no further plans for separately ticketed events at the resort, the failure of the Carnival Party does not mean that these soirees have been abandoned. The Halloween parties are legendary to Parisians and have become a huge success with attendees. The Christmas Balls also attract families whose little girls want to dress up and meet their princess heroines.
