Belle's Village

This past Christmas season, DLRP debuted a rejuvenated Christmas format, as the celebrations spread from Main Street U.S.A. into Fantasyland. For the first time, Belle’s Village welcomed guests into an exact replica of Belle’s own village. Several times throughout the day, Belle arrived with the townsfolk to sing seasonal tunes for the awaiting guests, and often, attempting to involve the guests in a festive dance and sing-a-long!

The rural transformation ran from the exit to Alice’s Curious Labyrinth to the entrance to Storybookland, encompassing the Old Mill, which were filled with giant presents. The display was due to expire on January 5 2003, but DLRP management decided to keep the structures standing throughout the off-season. Many of the village buildings are market stalls, hawking everything from seasonal snacks to handmade gifts.

Mickey's Show Time!

A new show is coming to the Videopolis stage in the Disneyland park on March 8. This show will showcase Broadway-style Disney productions and follow the popular Minnie’s Birthday Surprise that ran for only ten months for the park’s official tenth birthday celebrations. The anniversary show featured music from such illustrious productions such as Disney’s Light Magic and Disney’s Steps in Time.
