Tearing myself away from this set, I headed for the ballroom. The ominous staircase, which wrapped around the foreboding clock now served as the entrance to the Secrets of Visual Effects Show. Almost as soon as I arrived a gong sounded and the large doors slowly swung open. This was the signal that the show was about to begin.

The show, hosted by a humorously sinister MC, explained how some of the special effects in the film were accomplished. A large video screen showed clips of some of the technicians and artists that helped create, and in many cases recreate, the ghosts of the Haunted Mansion.

Directly outside the show's exit was a little cafe where you could purchase coffee, candied apples and even a Haunted Mansion cookie.
