After a hearty round of applause, Johnny Grant pointed out the fresh slabs of wet cement that had been carefully arranged along the front of the stage. As the eight stars knelt in front of their respective slabs, Grant called out, "On the count of three, all of you may place your handprints in the "magic ground" so that we'll remember you always. Are you all ready?"
