50s Primetime Cafe

The downside: It’s in a theme park so it’s usually packed and the menu is small. But the upside: You get to eat in the 50s! The cuisine is classic comfort foods like chicken noodle soup, fried chicken, tuna casserole and meatloaf. The decor really does transport you to a Leave It to Beaver-style kitchen table. The black and white TVs showing classic clips complete the atmosphere. And the servers making sure you keep your elbows off the table and eat your vegetables are a bonus. I also really like the way the tables are arranged in such a way that it seems to encourage tables to get to know their neighbor without actually seating them at the same table. Unfortunately, I’ve never liked their vegetarian entrees … fortunately, onion rings and their famous peanut butter and jelly shake more than make up for it!
