Disneyland Weather Report for the February 10th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/10/2012)

I've been talking about this cool down for a few days now so you shouldn't be surprised by it - but in case this is the first time you are hearing about it - get out there and enjoy today because well - just do it.

Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low 70s with clouds building in the late afternoon into the early evening.

Lows will get down into the upper 40s but then here comes the rain.  Showers are possible on Saturday into Saturday evening and temperatures will cool down even more so be emotionally prepared for that.

Once the sun comes back out on Sunday it will still be cold (especially compared to the last two weeks) as highs will only be in the low 60s but it will be clear and sunny so what more could you ask for?

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the February 10th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/10/2012)

I gotta be honest I'll be happy when this weekend is over.  This has easily been the hardest week to forecast thusfar in 2012.  Timing has been difficult to pin down but I've been talking about a cold front since early this week - well it is coming - and it may be coming a little earlier than originally thought.

So let's go for today - happy Friday by the way.  Expect highs in the mid to upper 70s and then expect clouds to thicken up as the day goes on and anytime after noon a shower followed by more than a shower can be expected.  Looks like that rain will continue into the evening into the overnight and even into maybe rope drop for Saturday morning.  The good news is that it looks like Saturday won't be a wash out and by the evening hours we will clear out but it will get cooler.

How cool will it get? Well for what Central Florida has seen this winter - REAL COLD! Expect highs only in the lower 60s Sunday - though temperatures will rebound quickly into next week.  Have that jacket handy because we will get down to about 40 degrees Saturday night/Sunday morning and you want to be prepared for that.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 9th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/9/2012)

Enjoy the warmth while you still can because some changes are coming this weekend into next week.

The sun will remain so there is the good news for today and tomorrow with highs right around 80 today and in the mid 70s for Friday.  Lows will get down to around 50 tonight but then cool into the 40s by early Saturday morning.

I can't rule out a sprinkle or two but it won't be anything to wash out your Saturday night - that said, have that light coat ready because highs on Sunday will only be in the low 60s and that trend continues right on into next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 9th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/9/2012)

Well as I warned you earlier in the week - the forecast could change as I didn't feel a whole lot of confidence in the varying model runs we were seeing and lucky for you in Central Florida on vacation that HAS happened and while it hasn't been the best week throughout Walt Disney World it certainly has not been the worst!  Big changes are coming in the temperature department though so here we go.

As I said model confidence hasn't been high and it still isn't ... rain is coming but the exact timing and how much is still WAY up in the air.  What I can tell you is that a cold front is heading towards the area and it looks like it will get here sometime Saturday ONCE that happens it will clear out the clouds and lower those temperatures in a pretty significant way.

So for today in the short term expect highs to be kept a little bit down thanks to the increased cloud cover.  We should still make it into the mid 70s for a high.  Temperatures will only drop into the mid 50s for lows and then temps will rebound back into the mid to upper 70s for Friday to end your week.  Once again this is where things get tricky - clouds build and here comes the rain ahead of that front.

I don't want to call Saturday a washout but it looks like right now late Friday night into Saturday is when we can expect the worst weather to arrive.  Temperatures will then drop at least about 10 degrees when it comes to highs and we likely won't get out of the 60s on Sunday even though the sun should return.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 8th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/8/2012)

Remember that not so good day in Southern California?  Yeah - well that day was yesterday and it is a distant memory today as the sun comes back out and temperatures warm up!

The sun comes out once showers subside Tuesday morning - highs get into the mid 70s and we warm up from there and get towards 80 on Wednesday!

Sun continues through the rest of the week - but temperatures cool down just a bit.  Lows will be right around 50 through the period.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 8th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/8/2012)

Well lucky for all of us (especially those reading in Central florida) - the forecast keeps changing a bit.  Now as I said earlier this week - today was going to be the nice day - but it looks like that is going to continue into tomorrow.

After fog impacts the morning commute again the sun should come out for most of the day bringing temperatures into the mid 70s today into tomorrow.  Lows will get down into the mid 50s.  That said the forecast has been somewhat unsettled for the entire period and as I type this now I wouldn't be surprised to see things change.

The way things look now is that showers should hold off until Friday night into Saturday when a bit of a cool down looks to take place.

I am going to keep this short until I have some more long term data.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 7th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/7/2012)

Well they can't ALL be picture perfect post card days right?  I know you think you moved to Southern California so that the answer to my first sentence was yes but the fact is - you guys can deal with ONE bad day every now and again right?

Anyway Tuesday will be that day - expect rain developing by the time you leave this morning and that rain could continue right on through the evening rush hour which is always a good time.

Temperatures will only make it into the low 60s with all that cloud cover, but things rebound nicely tomorrow and through the rest of the week.

The sun returns and we are up around 71 for a high on Wednesday and a nice warming trend is on the way - so we'll be up in the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine by Friday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 7th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/7/2012)

Even though I'm typing a weather forecast for the beginning of February - it sure feels like I am doing one for the summer months.  Those showers that popped up throughout Central Florida went away as the sun went down - very similar to summer thundershower activity and with dew points in low the mid 60s it sure FEELS like it might be the summer!  PLUS don't get me started about that little tropical feature we were keeping our eyes on - that's just something you don't see every day!

Anyway - those dew points are going to help out with some morning fog once again and it looks like we will remain unsettled for much of the week.  Again we aren't talking about washout days by any stretch of the imagination but showers could be expected anytime after noon.  High temperatures will once again be above average for this time of year and we will top out around 80 if you can believe that.  Low temps will be anything but low as we settle down right around 60 ... we may get down to the supper 50s.  More fog for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning will form and it looks like RIGHT NOW anyway that Wednesday should be mostly sunny before we have another chance for showers on Thursday.

Looking at the long term it looks like this pattern will break towards the end of the weekend - but with that comes more seasonable temperatures and in fact we may flip flop everything and end up BELOW average by the time next week rolls around.  So as Thunder Mountain continues undergoing some renovations - consider THIS your roller coaster ride throughout the Magic Kingdom :-)!

Hey who saw Eli - and where are your pictures?

Disneyland Weather Report for February 6th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/6/2012)

Looks like the fun might be over after one more nice day.  Expect plenty of sunshine today with highs around 70, but then it looks like a disturbance is moving in.

That said, it shouldn't be a wash out and it will only last about a day - so by the time you get to Wednesday you should be fine.

Tuesday looks a bit rainy but after that the rest of the week looks sunny with highs in the 70s and even upper 70s by the end of the week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 6th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/6/2012)

I truly cannot believe I was almost typing about a tropical disturbance.  But had I written this about 5 hours ago I would have been.  I waited until after the Super Bowl so everything was timely and in the time it took for the Blue Men to beat the Patriots - in that time I believe that I can say the Groundhog day storm of 1952 will remain the only tropical storm in the month of February on record ... for now.  But wow ... as I was looking the last couple of days I was shocked.

The Rest of the forecast is not so good or easy - temperatures will remain above average in the upper 70s but as a front approaches it looks like things will be a little unsettled through mid week.  I can't say to expect a rain out but I will say expect the chance for showers every day - I sound like I am writing this during the summer.

I would expect more sun Tuesday than I would today ... but thats just me.

Disneyland Weather Report for the February 3rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/3/2012)

Is anyone looking for a roommate :-)?  Honestly I can't complain about the weather where I am writing this from today, but my word it is gorgeous in Southern California and that will continue right through the weekend into next week!

Highs in the low to mid 70s will be the rule through Sunday with a slight cool down early on Monday.  But for the most part expect plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend, with some afternoon clouds a possibility.  Low temperatures don't even look to get below 50 until Monday morning.  That said, if you are visiting Disneyland and have never been there - with the dry conditions - as soon as the sun goes down it gets cool (cold) quick so always have a jacket handy if you aren't used to it.

Have a great weekend and if you are traveling this weekend and need a more specific forecast I'll be happy to help just tweet me @WDW_Weather.

Walt Disney World Weather Report the February 3rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/3/2012)

It really is beginning to look and feel a lot like summer (slight exaggeration), as temperatures remain above climatologically averages and I have to start talking about the chance for showers each and every day.

First things first - watch out for fog this morning especially before 9am.  This has been especially dangerous at times as the smoke from wildfires is making driving even more troublesome - so be careful.  Once the fog moves out we should see plenty of sun but we should also see plenty of clouds.  I will take precipitation chances for the most part out of the equation but as a front washes out over Central Florida the chance for showers is going to be with us from the end of the weekend into early next week...we'll have more information on exactly where and when as computer models come into agreement in the next 48 hours.  Basically with the front washing out we will have higher moisture levels in our atmosphere and all it will take is a disturbance to trigger off some showers and it looks like that will come to pass Sunday night into Monday (though timing seems to be constantly changing).

So in the short term expect warmer than normal temperatures through next week.  Sunny skies (with clouds) today - it looks like more clouds on Saturday and even more clouds on Sunday before we may finally see some showers Sunday evening/night.

Sorry to be so wishy washy but it is what it is right now - here - the glass IS half full - HAPPY FRIDAY!  If you are traveling this weekend and need a more specific forecast I'll be happy to help just tweet me @WDW_Weather.

Keep in mind I'm not talking about a wash out at all even IF we see some showers over the weekend - so relax - at least we aren't having a blizzard right? (Glass is half full)

Disneyland Weather Report for February 2nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/2/2012)

Well looks like your cold snap has broken (he says with an air of sarcasm).  Yes those temperatures in the mid 60s the past few days must have been brutal!

Temperatures are back up to around 70 today and they only get higher from there as we will top out in the mid 70s Friday and Saturday.

A whole lot of sunshine will be the rule all day long and then we will cool down (quickly as always) into the mid 40s pretty much every day through the weekend.

No news is good news as they say - and that's about as much as I can say about your forecast - there's NOTHING to complain about so get out there and make us all jealous with your sunshine and World of Color :-)!  Until next time!

Walt Disney World Weather Report February 2nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/2/2012)

Ugh - and yes it is never a good thing when a meteorologist starts a forecast with the word "ugh" (is that even a word)!

This is reminding me of things I type in the summer...it may rain ... it may not.  The good news if you listened to my weather forecast on Magic 24.7 yesterday is that I am a little less convinced we will see any shower activity at all today.  Computer models were differing in this last night so I waited as long as I could and just did my best ... it is nice when it comes out the RIGHT way especially for you vacationers.

The forecast continues to be problematic though as a couple of disturbances will graze the area - and a front will wash out over us.  All of these things increase our moisture and give us a CHANCE (just a chance) for shower activity - though it would likely be late.  Right now the BEST chance of showers looks to be Sunday night into Monday but again - that could easily change when you read this tomorrow.  So let's keep things in the short term shall we?

For today depending when you read this you will (and I say WILL with a great deal of confidence) see some fog out there.  Coupled with the wildfire smoke depending where you are going to be driving there could be some hazardous visibility issues when it comes to driving.  The fog should get up out of here soon after sunrise and by 9am we will be in the clear.  Another warm day (above average) will be with us today and that trend will continue into the weekend even with increased cloud cover.  Expect highs in the upper 70s the next two days and we will flirt with 80 by Saturday and Sunday.

And just like that we may be waving goodbye to winter friends :-) ... I mean it really has been mild for most of us throughout the country (he says as Denver gets pounded with snow).  Lows won't get much below 60 (think 58/59) through Sunday - so anyone from say Green Bay visiting to watch the Super Bowl will likely be in shorts their entire vacation!

Enjoy your day and remember - as I told my mom one day - this is the best job in the world because you can be wrong every day and not be fired ... :-)!  I kid I kid.  But Mother Nature, she's a fickle lady my friends so always keep your eye to the skies!

Disneyland Weather Report for February 1st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/1/2012)

Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there - that's thanks to the fog this morning.

Fog will clear out in the morning and we will have another relatively sunny day with highs in the mid 60s.

The good news is that things just keep getting better and better as we head through the weekend with temperatures getting back into the upper 70s and staying through the weekend (or at least the mid 70s for the long term).

Low temperatures for the period through Saturday will be in the mid 40s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report February 1st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/1/2012)

The problem with doing forecasts hours in advance to last the entire day is that local phenomenon change things in Central Florida every day.  That said this is more of a summer forecast than a winter one.

Today is going to be the best day we see for a little while - warmer than average temperatures with a decent amount of sunshine will be what you can expect (hi-78) ... clouds will begin to move in tonight.

This is where things get tricky because there are some disturbances that MAY affect us and they may not - but I would be remiss to not at least mention a chance of showers tomorrow through the weekend (yes the entire weekend).  The next front should pop through early next week clearly things out for a good week next week.

Disneyland Weather Report for January 31st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/31/2012)

After quite the cool down yesterday expect another cool one today (though slightly warmer than Monday).  Temperatures will warm through the week though and we'll be back up around 80 by the time Thursday rolls around.

It never ceases to amaze me how quickly it cools down when the sun goes down out there and once that happens tonight temperatures will once again drop down into the mid 40s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report January 31st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/31/2012)

I can't believe I missed this yesterday so I would be remiss if I didn't say it today - Happy Birthday yesterday to my favorite show (in all of its forms) Illuminations!

Ok well now that we have that taken care of - today proves to be another slightly warmer than average day with potentially a little more cloud cover this afternoon.  Highs should get into the mid 70s - (think about 76) and then cool back down over night into the mid 50s once again.  The stage will be set once again for some patchy fog when you wake up on Wednesday.

Temperatures are even warmer on Thursday as we flirt with 80, but it looks like some showers are not out of the question.

Disneyland Weather Report for January 30th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/30/2012)

After a few really warm days with plenty of sunshine (though wow does it get chilly at night around here thanks to that dry air) ... looks like things will cool down a bit to start your week off.  Plenty of sunshine continues through the week with some fog expected most mornings (after tomorrow) - but temperatures will rebound nicely as we get to mid week and we'll be back up flirting with 80 by Thursday.

Congratulations to everyone who ran the inaugural Tinkerbell half marathon - I hope I see some of you in just FOUR weeks for the Princess down in Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney World Weather Report January 30th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/30/2012)

I can sum up this coming week pretty easily ... warm, warm, warmer, ten degrees above average, showers. cooldown for the weekend.

That kind of forecast is usually something you can expect things this time of the year as we head into February.  Believe it or not Florida will start to warm up now as a general rule week to week with February right ahead of us - so that's good news for all of you northerners traveling south for a vacation.

It will be pretty calm and tranquil with temperatures in the mid 70s today - maybe a little cooler Tuesday but then warming up towards 80 as we head towards the end of the week where we bring in a chance for showers ahead of our next little cool front.  So plenty of sunshine to enjoy the next few days so if you are lucky enough to get outside and enjoy it - DO IT!

As I type this - t minus only 4 weeks to go before the Princess ... uh oh.  Have a great week every body.

Disneyland Weather Report for the January 27th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/27/2012)

I am telling you - it's days like yesterday today, tomorrow, the day after that (repeat) that I wonder to myself "hey Jeff why on earth do you not move to Southern California"???

After a picture perfect blue bird day Thursday with temperatures close to 80 if not 80 in spots ... the hits keep coming.  Expect sun through the weekend with temperatures topping out in the upper 70s and bottoming out in the low 50s to upper 40s.

I could say more - but why bother ... you are just making people jealous anyway!

Walt Disney World Weather Report the January 27th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (1/27/2012)

Well today won't be the best day of the week but it shouldn't be a washout either.  In fact depending on the speed of things the rain may have already arrived and departed by the time you read this.  That said if it hasn't there is a chance that a few showers on your Friday could become severe - but it seems unlikely that that would be very widespread.

So another warm day ahead with temperatures in the upper 70s can be expected with winds from the west southwest. Some of these wind gusts can easily get over 20 miles per hour so watch out for that - it's safe to say it won't be the best day to take the boat out.  Showers should be up and out of here by the evening and we will be left with partly clouds skies.

The sun returns for the weekend which is the good news - and temperatures will cool down a bit back into the lower 70s but still VERY pleasant.
