Disney Interactive Studios and Disney Press Announce New Novels Based on the Popular Spectrobes Video Game Franchise - (DL) (6/30/2009)

Disney Press will publish the new middle-grade series based on Disney Interactive Studios' best-selling Spectrobes videogames. The sci-fi story of two planetary officers and the mysterious Spectrobes creatures will be told through these original junior novels in addition to the upcoming Wii™ game. Disney Interactive Studios and Disney Press today announced that four Spectrobes junior novels will be available in North America this year.

Mitchel Musso Announces Summer 2009 Tour Dates - (DL) (6/30/2009)

Mitchel Musso, from the Disney Channel hit series “Hannah Montana”, recently released his Walt Disney Records self-titled solo album on June 2 which debuted at #19 on Billboard’s 200 chart. The album also hit #2 on the iTunes Pop chart (second only to Lady Gaga) and #5 on iTunes Album chart on the very first day of release. The album debuted at #11 on Billboard’s Digital album chart with over 50,000 digital downloads. Mitchel Musso will be hitting the road this summer with his older brother Mason and his band Metro Station, as well as launching his own headline tour with Live Nation and House of Blues

The People’s Princess Charitable Foundation, Inc. (PPCF) is bringing “DIANA–The People’s Princess” – a major new exhibit of royal artifacts – to Walt Disney World Resort. Opening in early July 2009, this limited-time experience showcases the life and story of Princess Diana, one of the most iconic and inspirational figures in recent history, including a sampling of the royal dresses Diana chose to auction for charity and hundreds of authentic artifacts relating to her life.

Landmark Disneyland Hotel to Undergo Significant Renovation - (DL) (6/16/2009)

Beginning in August 2009, Southern California’s landmark Disneyland Hotel will start a significant renovation project that will include major improvements to its guest rooms and considerable changes to the exterior of the hotel. The hotel will remain open during the renovation, which will be conducted in phases, and is scheduled to be completed in 2012.
