Disneyland Weather Report for the July 29th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/29/2011)

Here comes the sun - and after a long enough wait - the heat.  A slow moderating trend will be seen as we head into next week.  Expect high temperatures today to top out in the low 80s but by the time Sunday rolls around we will be in the mid 80s and into next week we will once again flirt with 90.  Morning clouds will give way to plenty of sunshine during the afternoons and quite frankly after a rather cool week the weekend is shaping up beautifully.  Some moisture from the remnants of Dan may attempt to make their way into the area mid week next week - but I'm not thinking they will make it to Disneyland.

So what's going on with Tropical Storm Don - well this ones easy - he'll stay a tropical storm it looks like by the time landfall occurs sometime tonight (Friday).  Looking at the latest satellite image Don still has a sheared appearance and I can't say he's seen better days - because he hasn't.  Due to the very warm waters some strengthening should still be able to occur but I'm not thinking it will reach hurricane status.  Plenty of rain will be seen from the system.

Elsewhere in the tropics we may have something to talk about next week when you read this on Monday as the National Hurricane Center just upgraded a wave we're watching. Not much to talk about yet but environmental conditions appear favorable for further development so stay tuned as one model has this disturbance becoming a hurricane by next week and some of the tracks take it close enough to Florida where it bears watching.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the July 29th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/29/2011)

Today looks like a great way to start the weekend!  We are talking isolated showers at best so get out there and enjoy the parks!  Thanks to onshore flow drier air will continue to work it's way into the area - translation - less moisture for building thunderstorms to work with.  All that sunshine means it will be hot hot hot to start the weekend with temperatures easily in the mid 90s for highs and heat indexes in the triple digits. Each day that goes by, the chance for afternoon showers will increase until we get to the start of next week and we are back to "normal".  Now don't totally let your guard down - we are essentially surrounded by water on three sides so the ingredients are always there for an afternoon thunderstorm in the summer months.  Best thing to do is to always keep us in mind on Twitter if you are roaming the parks and we'll try to let you know if there's a problem coming.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 28 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/28/2011)

Today will be the coolest day for the rest of the week - in fact we may not hit 80 today for a high temperature.  But it's all up hill from here.  High pressure moves back in and warms things up just in time for the weekend. So, no surprises here as we've been forecasting the same pattern since the beginning of the week.  Temperatures through the weekend should end up in the mid 80s for highs and stay there into early next week.  Expect a cool down as we head into mid next week.

For any of you that are tropically engaged on the west coast - what's going on with our good buddy Don?  Leave it to a weather guy to say - well - things are uncertain.  Well - they are.  Don hasn't changed all that much in the last 12-18 hours and he isn't looking all too impressive in the Gulf.  That said - thanks to low shear and some uncertainty with the circulation it could fire up in a hurry ... or it could weaken :-).  Like how I cover all my bases?  I'll have a better idea what's going on this afternoon, but all signs point to a Friday evening/night landfall somewhere along the coast of Texas.  None of the reliable models bring Don up to hurricane strength but again any tropical system meandering in the warm waters of the Gulf bears close watching.  Any important weather updates will always be available as they happen on Twitter @WDW_Weather.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 28 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/28/2011)

First things first - expect warmer temperatures today due to considerably less cloud cover than what we saw yesterday.  By the way we all lucked out yesterday because there was some HEAVY rain ALL around Walt Disney World - but only light rain made it over the parks.  Keep your fingers crossed for today.  That said, seeing as how the overreaching forecast is for less thunderstorms today - law of averages says we are going to get hammered this afternoon :-)!

So ... expect high temperatures to get into the mid 90s - though I'd expect it to be on the lower number of that.  Any storms that do fire up between 3-5pm ... will subside by the time night arrives.  A similar set up is in store for tomorrow.

Now what's going on with our good buddy Don?

Walt Disney Pictures’ fantastical adventure “Oz The Great and Powerful,”  directed by Sam Raimi, went in front of the cameras at the brand-new Raleigh Studios in Pontiac, Michigan, on Monday, July 25, 2011, boasting a stellar cast that includes Academy Award® nominee James Franco (“127 Hours”) as the young wizard, Golden Globe® nominee Mila Kunis (“Black Swan”) as the witch Theodora, Academy Award® winner Rachel Weisz (“The Constant Gardener”) as Kunis’ sister Evanora and two-time Oscar®-nominated actress Michelle Williams (“Brokeback Mountain,” “Blue Valentine”) as Glinda, the Good Witch.

Cirque du Soleil Theatre Tokyo ZED to Close - (DL) (7/27/2011)

From an Oriental Land Co. Press Release...

Oriental Land Co., Ltd. and Cirque du Soleil have reached an  agreement to indefinitely close the Cirque du Soleil Theatre Tokyo, located in Tokyo Disney Resort®.  Performances of ZED will end on December 31, 2011.

“ZED” premiered on October 1, 2008 at Cirque du Soleil’s first permanent theater in Japan and was set for an indefinite long run at this venue.  It proved to be very popular and reached the one-millionth guest milestone faster than any other show in Japan.  Through the over 1,000 performances of “ZED,” many people were provided with an additional new way to  enjoy Tokyo Disney Resort.

It is with regret, however, that due to the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake, the business environment for this theatre greatly changed.  Based on a review of the expected results and the long-term viability of the show, it was mutually agreed that the business environment would remain extremely difficult; therefore, it was decided to close the show.

Accordingly, the current business partnership with Cirque du Soleil for “ZED” will be dissolved. A study on future use of the theatre facility will be conducted at a later date.  Cirque du Soleil will proceed to the redeployment of its staff and artists

Disneyland Weather Report for July 27 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/27/2011)

Expect a cooler day today into tomorrow.  Temperatures in fact may barely get into the 80s today as a weak upper level trough dictates our weather.  All is not lost however as warmer weather is on the horizon for the weekend (and that's really what matters isn't it?).  Onshore flow will keep the clouds around this morning into late morning.  High pressure will push in though and push up temperatures by Friday back towards the lower mid 80s.

I know that we are talking about the west coast but when it comes to tropical weather some people have people scattered all over the country so I am going to just throw in a little tropical update in case you know some people around the gulf.

As far as the tropics go - I'd like to do a little back patting ... while almost all the computer models did not develop this system last week and even into the weekend - I mentioned last week this was something we would want to keep our eye on.  Now that the latest advisory from the NHC has come out - I'd say - we were right ;-)!  NHC is giving this disturbance that is about to make it's way into the Gulf an 80 percent chance of development.  While the latest spread of model runs is MORE spread out than it was yesterday there still has been a more northerly component to the spread.  That said should this continue to form and move into the Gulf people should be aware anywhere between Northern Mexico and even over into Louisiana.  I'll be updating the action via Twitter (@WDW_Weather) as developments - develop :-).

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 26 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/27/2011)

Today's forecast to exactly pinpoint where shower activity is going to pop up is challenging to say the least.  There is plenty of moisture over the area - but cloud cover may keep down the daytime heating which may limit thunderstorm development.  These clouds will also keep the temperatures down to the low 90s.  So here's what I'm going to do - while I will normally give you a 50-50 chance for showers on any given summer day - today I'm going with likely ... so showers WILL pop up around Central Florida it's just a matter of where ... and for the when I'd say anytime after noon though more likely between 2-4pm.

Tomorrow and Friday look like much better "park" days if you are looking for sunshine.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 26 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/26/2011)

Once again there isn't much to talk about - today looks to be a sunnier and warmer day than tomorrow ... we will flirt with the mid 80s for a high temperature today while hovering in the low 80s tomorrow.  A deeper cloud layer will hang around the coast the next couple of mornings but high pressure looks to clear things out a bit and warm things up for the weekend.  I always like to give good weekend forecasts so there you go - better the clouds and cooler temperatures tomorrow than this weekend right?

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 26 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/26/2011)

After a pretty seasonal and pleasant day yesterday we are going to bump up the chances of showers today and for the next couple of days (though tomorrow will be slightly less than today).  High temperatures will once again end up in the mid 90s for the next few days so there won't be any surprises there.  The word to the wise when dealing with parading around theme parks this time of year is get out of bed early because afternoon thunderstorms generally pop up after noon and around Disney somewhere between 2-4pm.  Wish I could make this a little more entertaining but it is what it is this time of year so get out there early and enjoy it!

As far as tropical weather for the Atlantic goes - that little disturbance I've been referencing since the end of last week has cleared many mountainous regions and is showing some signs of life.  The National Hurricane Center has upgraded this from a near zero percent chance the last couple of days back up to 20 percent this morning.  It should pose no trouble to Florida and most models have this tracking towards south Texas and north Mexico - but a few outliers has this disturbance taking a little jog to the north so it bears watching.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 25 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/25/2011)

Hey who wants a little rain?  Well it's not likely to happen ... that said some monsoonal moisture may bring a few showers to the more mountainous regions - but most of us should stay dry with high temperatures in the low 80s today and through mid week.  It's basically a sea saw - cooler mid week and then another high pressure area rolls in bringing warmer temps just in time for the weekend.  I love making weekend references on a Monday ... I think it helps everyone out!  Have a good one!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 25 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/25/2011)

Whew, 82 degrees at 9am ... yup it's going to be another warm one today!  You know when I left you last week I thought maybe we'd have something fun to talk about today but it's not looking like that too much anymore. There was a weak disturbance rolling westward off the coast of Africa and it stayed so weak that it just decided to head on down to our south and get ripped apart by Cuba (the road less traveled if you want to live as a tropical system)...so yeah there was a chance we might have seen some rain from that had some models held - but now it looks like MORE of the same for us this week in Central Florida!

For today I would expect thunderstorms in the area somewhere around 2-3pm ... there is enough moisture and inland locations should see the brunt of the action instead of coastal sections.

High temperatures will top out in the mid 90s with heat indexes into the triple digits - nothing too out of the ordinary for the locals.

The only thing going on in the tropics right now is that wave I was talking about at the top of the forecast - as it continues to be disrupted by land masses - it looks like there is about a zero percent chance for development ... now what if it were to somehow stay together in the Gulf? :-)  (sorry falling back into my TV sensationalism days ... my bad)

Disneyland Weather Report for the July 22nd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/22/2011)

Today will be the coolest day of the next three and it will take a little longer for the fog to burn off ... but high pressure looks to build in for the weekend bringing warmer temperatures and more sun.

Highs will top out in the low 80s today but will push towards the mid 80s (though the lower mid 80s) as we head through Sunday.

One thing of concern is the dry conditions are creating FIRE conditions ... so please be careful when you are outside camping or cooking.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the July 22nd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/22/2011)

So I always like to have something exciting to say over the weekend, but alas - this is not one of those weekends. Sure I could beat the dead horse of the heat wave into the ground, but it's always hot in Orlando so that wouldn't be shattering any preconceived notions.  So yes it will remain hot here through the weekend - and into October. High temperatures will end up each day somewhere in the mid 90s with only about a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms through Sunday.

Now, I will say this - even though it's only a 30 percent chance - moisture has increased substantially over the area and any storm that does pop up could be strong ... so after so many days without thunderstorms we may have let our guard down a bit so always be careful when lightning is involved.

As far as the tropics are concerned through the weekend, Bret and Cindy (or what's left of them continue to pull away from the US), and there's a new disturbance in town near the Windward Islands.  This may bear watching over the weekend, and if things stay together I'll have an update for you here on Monday, but you can always follow me on Twitter (@WDW_Weather) and if anything major happens I'll let you know.  Have a great weekend.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 21 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/21/2011)

I'm not planning on shocking anyone with this forecast ... it's pretty much more of the same old same old.  Slightly cooler temperatures can be expected today with a deeper marine layer close to shore thanks to a trough.  High pressure from the east pushes in as we head to the weekend bringing warmer temperatures and less morning fog.

High temperatures today will be right around 80, warming up into the low mid 80s by the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 21 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/21/2011)

The moisture levels will gradually rise as moisture movies in slowly from the south.  Rain chances will continue to be below normal for this time of year.  Lack of cloud cover has lead to increasingly warm days and that trend will continue once again today.  A sea breeze collision may fire up a couple of storms, but honestly I expect even that activity to stay to our south for another day.  Rain chances will increase for the weekend, but even still will be slightly lower than what I'd expect for this time of year.

Temperatures ... they aren't going down any time soon.  High temperatures will max out in the mid 90s but you've heard the routine factor in those humidity levels and we are talking about heat indexes in the triple digits each and every day.  Personally I sometimes think those late afternoon thunderstorms aren't always a bad thing - they clear out the parks and the clouds keep down afternoon max highs ... oh well ... stay hydrated!

All tropical weather in the form of Bret and newly named Cindy is hauling away from land and won't pose any problems to the US.  This is actually the time of year I start shifting my eyes to the coast of Africa and there is a wave off there that may be getting ready to make the long trek over here ... but it's far too early to tell if that will happen.  Just something to keep an eye on.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 20 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/20/2011)

Patchy fog breaks by about 11am and thanks in part to a trough we will experience cooler temperatures than we have for the next couple of days.  That said, temperatures should remain in the low 80s through the weekend.  After that a ridge of high pressure will again try to build up bringing less of a marine layer and warmer temperatures.

Here's your random fact for the day - The heat index in Knoxville, Iowa hit an unprecedented 131 degrees Monday! That's incredible! The heat wave will continue to push east impacting the New York area by Friday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 20 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/20/2011)

Here's your random fact for the day - The heat index in Knoxville, Iowa hit an unprecedented 131 degrees Monday!  That's incredible! The heat wave will continue to push east impacting the New York area by Friday.

Closer to home dry conditions continue for another day (ya-hoo)!  I tell ya if you haven't had a day at Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon yet, if you can tolerate the crowds today would be the day to do it.  Lower than normal moisture levels (still in part thanks to Bret) will suppress shower formation yet again today so I expect plenty of sunshine along with warmer temperatures.  That said for this time of year dewpoints are a bit more tolerable than they should be and that is good news for anyone who knows what it's like around Walt Disney in July!

Moisture levels across South Florida are rising and as that lifts to the north we will begin to see those levels creep up across Central Florida as well.  Translation - increased chances of thunderstorms as we head through the week, and especially into the weekend.  All in all though expect high temperatures to continue to be in the mid 90s with an increase in humidity tomorrow through the weekend!

As for the tropics - other than Bret there isn't much to talk about.  There is an area of disturbed weather to the east of Bermuda that is showing some signs of getting its act together.  That said, it will be heading shortly into cooler waters so even if it does continue to develop - it shouldn't pose a threat to us in any way.  In fact none of the reliable computer models for tropical development show anything of significance through the weekend right now.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 19 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/19/2011)

A strengthening ridge will bring warmer temperatures and less clouds to the area the next couple of days.  High temperatures will top out in the mid 80s the next couple of days and while temps will cool off as we head through the week - they will stay in the 80s.

Moisture heads back into the coastal area by the end of the week bringing a deeper marine layer.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 19 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/19/2011)

From out of nowhere we have Bret and first thing this morning I can see some moisture from Bret wrapping onto the eastern Florida coastline ... I hope no one had a cruise planned to the Bahamas.  Bret shouldn't pose much of a problem to anyone other than those showers as he pulls away from land and heads out to sea in the day.  Now the interesting thing about the storm is that it's pulling some drier air into our area which should help to inhibit showers and thunderstorms for the next couple of days.  That said - the storm should remind everyone living or traveling to hurricane prone areas this summer to be prepared as we continue to head towards the eventual peak of the Atlantic Hurricane Season.

So, closer to home thanks in part to Bret looks like we should see a little more sunshine than we have in the past couple of days.  A couple of you were keeping me up to date on weather happenings in the park over the weekend and I love that stuff so keep it coming - it will help other Disney fans plan their days and activities.

More sun means hotter temperatures and temperatures will steadily climb through mid week back into the mid 90s.  Add in the humidity and you know the drill - heat indexes into the triple digits.  Moisture creeps back up to more normal levels by the end of the week so we will start to increase the chance of shower chances.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 15th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/15/2011)

Here comes the sun my friends and here comes the warmth after a few unseasonably cool days for this time of year ... let's not get too crazy - it wasn't THAT cold and not for nothing but the deep south would love to use your guest bedroom if it's available because it's HOT HOT HOT across much of the country and about to get hotter again next week!

So it will be in the mid 70s today, should hit 80 tomorrow and get into the mid 80s by the end of the week early next week.  In fact some moisture may try to trickle in next week triggering some showers (and dare I say a thundershower) Monday.  Clouds will give way to sunshine this afternoon and I'd expect more sun with each passing day.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 15th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/15/2011)

For up to the minute weather information for the Walt Disney World area make sure to follow me on Twitter (@WDW_Weather).  It's important to bring that up because this time of year - with the instability and moisture in the atmosphere it's generally localized events (sea breeze interaction/daytime heating) that are firing up storms - not any type of trackable front where we know the timing of things.

So once again you can expect some rain today - DEPENDING where you are.  Storms fired up briefly yesterday but quickly rained themselves out and it was a much nicer day than it was Wednesday.  Basically wherever you are you've got a 50 50 shot of an afternoon thunderstorm after 2pm today.  In fact this is one of those raining in Animal Kingdom and not raining in Downtown Disney kind of days.  Temperatures will remain in the low to mid 90s but gradually drop off a bit through the weekend.  A few degrees will not change your day too much and honestly if you feel it - good for you because the humidity will keep things feeling like we are close if not into the triple digits.

The National Hurricane Center isn't watching anything right now that would impact your Florida travel plans.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 14 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/14/2011)

Weather out here is so much easier to forecast ... cloudy morning ... sunny afternoon ... and about once every two weeks plan on a shower or two this time of year.

Yes that is basically the forecast for today though it has been a bit cooler than normal.  Well we are going to have one heck of a warming trend coming our way into early next week.  In fact our highs should rebound by 10 plus degrees.  Today though expect temperatures in the mid 70s, but I'm telling you sometime next week you may hear me utter the word "ninety" ... or at least type it.

Have a great day.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 14 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/14/2011)

I'll keep this one brief for you today since it's basically a carbon copy of the last couple of days.  Expect random showers and thunderstorms to up after 3, and they should diminish once the sun goes down around 8 or 9pm.  The last couple of days storms have been popping up and barely drifting making for a very tough forecast.  So as I always say (and especially this time of year) - follow me on Twitter (@WDW_Weather) and I'll try to keep you at least a few minutes ahead of any impending storms.

High temperatures will once again reach into the 90s but with the humidity it will feel like it's a 100 plus so stay hydrated.

To follow up on the tropical disturbance I mentioned - that thing is long gone and right now the National Hurricane Center is not monitoring any areas of disturbed weather.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 13 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/13/2011)

Another not so hot morning - in fact - it's a rather cool morning with a deep marine layer entrenched. Temperatures will gradually rise (thankfully) as we head through the weekend but it wouldn't surprise me if high temperatures didn't even make it into the mid 70s today.

Temperatures will warm into the low 80s by Saturday and you'll see more sunshine just in time for the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 13 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/13/2011)

Nice back and forth with some of you via Twitter yesterday during the middle of the downpour. @Twagner64 I have a feeling that will be one boat ride across Seven Seas Lagoon you won't soon forget :-)!  If you are going to be in the Orlando area on vacation and are looking for weather updates follow me @WDW_Weather because it's the best way to update you on what's going on.  I can give a basic run down of what's going on every morning - but it's the local phenomenon that make forecasting summer weather in Orlando such a chore.

Yet here we go again anyway!  I honestly do not see anything that will change what's been going on the last few days so what does that mean for you as a Disney guest?  Get to the parks early and either plan on getting wet or plan on resting at the hotel throughout the late afternoon.  Though I have to say - when rain comes to the parks - it's one of the best times to ride Splash Mountain :-).  Temperatures will once again be hot hot hot and top out in the mid 90s with heat indexes easily reaching into the triple digits.

Now it's been a while since I've mentioned this, and I don't know what it is about this area because this is the second disturbance firing up here - but there's a tropical disturbance in the Bay of Campeche that is trying to get it's act together.  It doesn't have much time before moving ashore, but here comes some more rain for Mexico!

Disneyland Weather Report for July 12 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/12/2011)

Clouds will linger through the morning hours leading to sun this afternoon (haven't we heard this before).  Temperatures will remain well below average for this time of year especially as you head closer to the coast where the marine layer will be considerably deeper as well.  A warming trend will occur towards the end of the week into the weekend.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 12 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/12/2011)

Mother Nature really seemed to enjoy the parks as much as anyone else can during the summer - as a few storms popped up over Animal Kingdom and just sat there while they rained themselves out.  Expect a similar situation possible today with a 50-50 chance for showers (slightly LESS than yesterday).  The setup is virtually the same with temperatures topping out in the low 90s.  Get your park hopping done before the afternoon and you should be A-OK...honestly it's the wet season ... just be glad a hurricane isn't ruining your vacation ... yet :-).

In the summer the best thing you can do is follow me on Twitter as I can more easily give you up to the minute updates when something is popping your way.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 11th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/11/2011)

It's going to be cooler than normal for this time of year thanks to a trough that's going to keep the marine layer rather thick the next couple of days especially as you head towards the water.  Temperatures for highs will only be in the mid 70s the next couple of days.  Looks like high pressure will move in towards the end of the week warming temperatures up towards 80 by Friday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 11th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/11/2011)

Plenty of moisture in the atmosphere today will lead to scattered thunderstorms today and a couple of them may be strong.  I know I sound like a broken record but that's just the name of the game this time of year.  I do expect today to be the day this week with the greatest chance of thunderstorms - trending back down to 30-40 percent tomorrow.

Temperatures will top out in the low to mid 90s all week long.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 8h Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/8/2011)

I hope you never feel like you are sitting through Saw 7 when you read these every day (i.e. - like I'm wasting your time).  There just isn't much to say about the weather this time of year ... that's why so many people live where you live :-)!

Expect another warm (dare I say humid for the area) day, though temperatures will be trending down through the weekend just a bit.  Trough will finally arrive by Sunday and that means a return to a deeper marine layer with cooler temps.  High temperatures today will be in the low 80s but closer to 85 ... and should dip back into the upper 70s by Sunday into next week.

I'll try to keep you ahead of any storms that do for throughout the weekend via Twitter (@WDW_Weather)...and again I appreciate the nice comments that I've been receiving lately...if you ever need a personal vacation forecast let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 8th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/8/2011)

I'm a little late this morning because I'm captivated by this NASA count down clock and I tell you if this thing goes off on time - it's incredible because Mother Nature did not look like she wanted to cooperate this morning.

I think you can expect another wet day today as there is still plenty of moisture hanging around Central Florida as tropical moisture continues to stream in.  So it may not rain as HARD as it did yesterday, but it's not going to take too much to get some action started and I'd expect some showers with temperatures once again limping towards 90.  Cloud cover should keep us shy of actually reaching the big 9 oh.

As we head into the weekend rain chances dip a bit tomorrow as it looks a bulk of the moisture will shift north so expect temperatures flying back into the mid 90s.  As we head into Sunday and next week though we are clearly not out of the woods - it's just going to get back into that whole afternoon rain scenario that's typical this time of year (versus the rain all day scenario we were in yesterday).

I'll try to keep you ahead of any storms that do for throughout the weekend via Twitter (@WDW_Weather)...and again I appreciate the nice comments that I've been receiving lately...if you ever need a personal vacation forecast let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate.

ABC to Showcase Its Primetime Line-up at Comic-Con July 22-24 - (DL) (7/8/2011)

Additionally, the much buzzed about new drama series, “Pan Am,” will also be represented at Comic-Con.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 7 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/7/2011)

Well the warmth can't last forever can it?!  It has been above average temperature wise for more than a few days now and while a cool down was expected temperatures will once again soar into the 80s.  A gradual cooling trend WILL eventually come as a trough moves into the area towards the weekend.  High temperatures should still manage to make it to just about 80 though even into next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 7 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/7/2011)

Today is not shaping up to be an outside day - if you haven't seen Cars 2 yet (which I haven't), it might be a good day to spend some time at the new Downtown Disney movie theater because some rain is coming our way, and it could be very heavy at times.

I'm already seeing showers pop up on the radar around 9am and shower activity will continue to push towards Orlando from the South throughout the day.  Any warming that does occur will just enhance rainfall throughout the day.  There is a whole lot of tropical moisture coming up from the South associated with a disturbance that believe it or not the National Hurricane Center is monitoring.  Development is not expected but there will be plenty of moisture to bring areas of heavy rainfall into Southern and Central Florida over the next day or so.

High temperatures will struggle to hit 90 because of the cloud cover.  I'll try to update everyone of any strong cells throughout the day via Twitter (@WDW_Weather).  Precipitation chances remain high through the weekend, but lower a bit after today and tomorrow.  Don't expect an entirely rain free day however.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 6 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/6/2011)

The seasonable warmth will continue through the end of the week as high temperatures sit around 80.  Plenty of sunshine will be the rule today and tomorrow.

As a trough pushes in sometime Friday expect cooling over the weekend with a return of the marine layer along the coast.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 6 from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/6/2011)

Here comes the rain again ... Didn't someone sing that?  Well after a rather nice 4th of July weather wise its time to switch into a wetter pattern once again.  Moisture will move in south to north and while I expect wide spread showers today in the area tomorrow and Friday could be even rainer (so hopefully you got your fill of fireworks over the weekend).

High temperatures will top out in the low to mid 90s warming as we head into the weekend.  Looks like a slightly drier pattern is in store early next week.

Hopefully you found these forecasts useful during your holiday weekend.  I tweeted updates as storms popped up and got some nice feedback so thanks for that!

Disneyland Park Unveils Enhanced Technology for Guests with Visual Disabilities - (DL) (7/6/2011)

Beginning July 6, guests with visual disabilities will be able to explore Disneyland park in a whole new way through an enhanced Disney-designed device that provides detailed audio description of outdoor areas. This feature compliments the audio description inside Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks’ attractions and theaters that was launched over a year ago.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 5th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/5/2011)

The warmth continues this week but it won’t be as warm as the weekend.  Temperatures will continue to trend above average for this time of year.

Another trough will dig its way into our area towards the end of the week bringing more marine layer clouds and lower temperatures.  There will be plenty of sunshine in the afternoon to work with though over the next several days.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 5th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/5/2011)

Sorry for the delay ya’ll, but vacation called!  If you are spending the week in Orlando this week, my advice would be to get everything you need to do at the parks out of the way today because the chances for rain increase to above average by the end of the week.  After cooperating for our independence day celebrations around Disney World more moisture will be working its way into the area.  Plenty of dry air today though should suppress thunderstorm formation throughout the day today.  That said we could see some spotty showers pop up MUCH like we did yesterday.  They won’t have much guidance with regard to movement which means that anything that does fire up may stay over one location for a while.

Temperatures should remain in the low 90s when it comes to high temperatures.

I hope many of you were following me (@WDW_Weather) yesterday.  As thunderstorms popped over Orlando, I was trying to keep you all ahead of the storm and we really lucked out.  I will try to do that every time severe weather pops and it looks like afternoon storms are something you will want to plan for Wednesday Through Friday.

The National Hurricane Center is not currently tracking anything with regard to tropical disturbances in the Atlantic Ocean.

Major Disney Parks and Resorts Reorganization Announced - (DL) (7/5/2011)

An announcement by Disney Parks and Resorts Chief Tom Staggs on a major reorganization of leadership in the division of the company.

Disneyland Weather Report for July 1st Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/1/2011)

The heat is on my friends this holiday weekend as high pressure continues to build in!   Clouds will decrease after this morning through the weekend and temperatures will be in the upper 80s.  Then temperatures may soar into the 90s as we head into the weekend.  Some moisture will try to push in early next week which may lead to a thunderstorm especially in the desert areas.

Temperatures will then cool into mid week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for July 1st Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (7/1/2011)

I've got good news and bad news what do you want first?  Ok fine bad (negative Nancy)...we've got another day of above average rain chances (translate-real good chance of rain today).  But the good news is that those chances diminish over the holiday weekend (though Sunday the chances spike just a bit).   So if you are looking for a breakdown plan on rain today (80 percent) ... (I hope you aren't flying in this afternoon) and then we drop to 30 tomorrow and maybe 40 percent on Sunday (although its looking considerably better than today).  Long story short fireworks look good as showers diminish throughout the evening on Sunday and Monday.

High temperatures may not reach 90 today thanks to extended cloud cover but will rise towards the mid 90s as we roll through the weekend.
