Disneyland Weather Report for February 29th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/29/2012)

The rest of the week looks like any good roller coaster so strap on in.

Looks like a decent day is in store for you today though it will be a bit chilly with temperatures in the low 60s for a high and getting down to the upper 40s tonight.  Clouds look like they may want to move in after that and a shower or two is NOT out of the question for Thursday.  Now there's the bad news ... aren't you glad I got that out of the way?  Right now it looks like Friday, your gateway to the weekend will be lovely with sunny skies and temperatures more than 10 degrees warmer than they were earlier in the week.

So Friday expect highs around 68 and then we slam on into the mid 70s for Saturday which will be really nice for the weekend - enjoy!

Fantasy christening bonus forecast - for anyone who may be curious about what's going on in new york - at least it's not snow right?  Let's hope the forecast stays true because Wednesday doesn't look like a great day but things SHOULD improve overnight into Thursday when the actual christening is supposed to take place.  Expect a rather mild day with highs somewhere close to 50 with a few showers lingering over from Wednesday night.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 29th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/29/2012)

Well here it is - one more Disney day ... I wish I could be there with you but after my horrible performance throughout the princess half marathon you are likely happy I am not :-)!

So let me begin - if you can see where you are going then good for you - you slept in.  Dense fog will likely be the story this morning to start things off.  I can speak from experience as I flew out yesterday and you could barely see in front of you and the same kind of set up is going on today.  So if you are driving - take a little extra time to get where you are going - otherwise by the time we get to 9 o'clock the sun should come out and it is going to get warm - REAL warm.

We are talking about partly sunny skies with highs about 10 degrees warmer than what you might expect for this time of year - and while Magic Kingdom stays open - well - all day - the lows will only get down into the mid 60s so figure thats about as cold as it will get as you are scrounging for popcorn around 5am!I hope everyone has a great time and I can't wait to see the pictures.

Finally and one more time - thank you Run Disney for putting on incredible events that make us WANT To get out of our homes and be active!  See you on the other coast for the Disneyland in September!

Disneyland Weather Report for the February 24th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/24/2012)

I don't see any rain coming - nor do I see any dead people - BUT I do see a cool down so enjoy the warmth today while you can.

Plenty of sun and temperatures FAR above average today as highs top out in the mid 70s once again.

Fog develops overnight as lows drop back down into the mid to upper 40s and then temperatures end up where they should be this time of year which is highs in the mid to upper 60s Saturday and Sunday with sun.  Looks like clouds increase a bit early next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the February 24th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/24/2012)

Hang on to your hats - this is the wildest ride in the wilderness ... oh I'm sorry that's in refurb so clearly it must be Mother Nature getting a little frisky as a cold front rolls through.

It will be windy today as a front passes through.  Another warm day lies ahead before front gets through and when that does happen a shower or two is not out of the question.  Highs once again will be far above average for this time of year as they top out in the mid 80s.  Lows will get down in the the upper 50s.

This is where things get tricky and it is very annoying as I am getting on a plane Saturday morning.  For the past 10 days long range models showed a gorgeous weekend for the Princess Half and now it looks like that may not be the case.  I am not talking a wash out - and I'm still thinking it will be dry for race time - but some showers seem to be possible Sunday into Monday now ... though it would likely be later Sunday afternoon and evening (and all of these features keep slowing down).

Saturday looks like a fine day (going backwards) with plenty of sun and cooler temps than Friday with highs much cooler and in the 60s behind that cold front!

I will try and tweet updated info as I see it since you won't see another post from me until next week!  Anyone running the half - good luck - and if you see my sorry self running - wave :-)!

Disneyland Weather Report for February 23rd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/23/2012)

Its Southern California - I wish I could give you something earth shattering but it will be gorgeous ... gorgeous gorgeous.

A really warm day lies ahead today - temperatures almost ten degrees above average for the high.  Expect another warm day on tap for Friday with plenty of sunshine.  Lows will be around 50 through the forecast period.

While I'm not expecting rain - a cool down to more "normal" temperatures can be expected for the start of your weekend on Saturday when highs only get into the mid 60s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 23rd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/23/2012)

Oh let the winds come - but let them come before the Princess half marathon on Sunday morning.  Looks like the prayers were answered - wow it is going to be warm the next couple of days ahead of the next cold front ... we are talking about highs in the low 80s today and MID 80s tomorrow (yes I said mid 80s).  Long story short we will be about ten degrees above where we should be this time of year.

Man it is going to be windy tomorrow - I am talking about gusts as high as 30 miles per hour - so I hope you don't have a training run planned.

Lows will not be too low - they will be in the mid 60s.

So extended forecast wise for the weekend - front rolls through - and we get highs back down to about 70 on Saturday and we warm up to about 74 on Sunday.

I am thinking the race time temperature is going to be somewhere around 52 degrees to start and to me - that is perfect!  Hope to see some of you out on the course.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 22nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/22/2012)

Much like your sister park over in Orlando, Disneyland is going to have a little warm up to look forward to the next couple of days as well!

Average highs should be right around the mid 60s and we hit 65 on Monday...we will do better than that today topping out somewhere around 72 or so with plenty of sunshine and the heat continues through Wednesday as we get into the mid 70s for your hump day.

Lows will get down to around 50, and highs will drop back down to around 70 for Thursday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 22nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/22/2012)

Let that warm up continue (right on through Princess half marathon weekend if you ask me :-))!  That cold front cooled things off enough yesterday to about 5 degrees below where they should be this time of year (average high is 75).  We will get there today and a little better and the warmth should continue through the end of the week.  Expect another breezy day though (which may have made temps feel even cooler than they actually were yesterday).

Looking ahead, looks like a little bump in the road ahead for hump day but even though will be a small speed bump as a shower can't be ruled out overnight as clouds and moisture increase.  But highs around 80 for Wednesday and through Friday we are talking about gaining even a few degrees from there.

Next cold front arrives sometime Friday - models are coming into better agreement but we'll hold off on that until tomorrow to discuss.  Things won't cool off all that much though and if you remember the average high for this time of year that's about where we should be all weekend long.

Hope to see some of you proud medal wearers in the park on Sunday and Monday!  Be sure to tweet me (@WDW_Weather) and maybe we will catch each other somewhere along the way!

Another Sold Out Field to Compete in Princess Half Marathon Weekend at WDW - (DL) (2/22/2012)

For the fourth straight year, a capacity field is expected to take part this weekend in Disney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend, the largest women-specific event in the nation.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 21st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/21/2012)

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 21st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/21/2012)

Disneyland Weather Report for February 20th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/20/2012)

Finally a warming trend is coming your way!  The good news on top of the first bit of good news is that a warming trend is on the way as well.

Expect highs right where they should be with some sun - topping out around the mid 60s followed by lows getting down into the upper 40s and then some fog will develop.

A nice warming trend though through much of the week and by the time we are at Wednesday - we will be back up into the mid 70s for highs!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 20th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/20/2012)

Things will finally clear out today.  It has been one cloudy day after another.  But it has been warm hasn't it?

Things will be a little closer to normal today temperature wise - in fact it will be a little cooler than it should be for this time of the year with highs in the low 70s.  Lows will get down into the low 50s so depending how late you will be out - a light jacket will help you out as it hasn't been this cold in a little while.

Expect sun through at least Tuesday and then a disturbance may pop through mid week.  But then things will clear out nicely and as it stands right now things are looking really nice for Princess weekend!

Disneyland Weather Report for the February 17th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/17/2012)

Ok a slight tweak to the forecast from yesterday and it isn't always for the better unfortunately so please get out and enjoy today.  Today proves to be sunny outside with temperatures in the low 70s.  The normal high for this time of the year would be in the mid 60s so 70 is not the worst thing the world.  That said here come the clouds and some fog for Saturday overnight and morning and it looks like there could be some drizzle throughout the day.  This won't be a washout by any stretch of the imagination and we could see some sunshine but Sunday looks better than Saturday so let's get to that.

Sunday the sun should come out but periods of drizzle may linger.  Temperatures will be really cool with temperatures in the low 60s and even on Monday the sun returns but highs will only be in the mid 60s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the February 17th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/17/2012)

Depending when you read this you may wake up to some patchy fog this morning and some very low stratus will linger about through the morning. I will say this - today into tomorrow won't be the greatest day throughout Central Florida and Walt Disney World.  Let's just say I'm glad that the Princess Marathon isn't THIS week.

Thanks to all these low clouds temperatures didn't get down all that low in fact lows should have been right around 60 and I expect similar conditions tonight/tomorrow.

Looks like a mostly cloudy day - with maybe some peeks of sun early (really early).  As we head into the afternoon the chances for showers increase but again everything will be hit or miss and these clouds are in front of an approaching front.

It will be another warm day and even without the clouds I would expect highs to be close to 80 with a similar situation setting up for 80.  Front should push through as we head into Sunday with clouds clearing out by the afternoon.  High temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s Sunday with a bit of a cool down as we head into early next week for Washington's birthday.

For those playing along at home we were almost 10 degrees above where we should be temperature wise for a high today as we hit 83 and we should be somewhere around 74 and when all is said and done I would have to say that both January and February will trend above average as it has been REALLY warm - good news for vacationers :-)!

Florida Residents Can Enjoy Spring Getaway with Special Savings at Walt Disney World Resort - (DL) (2/17/2012)

Florida residents seeking a memory-filled getaway at an affordable price are invited to “spring break” at Walt Disney World Resort during the popular travel season.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 16th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/16/2012)

Expect a rather windy day but at least the sun will be back out.  After spotty rainfall throughout Southern California the sun will come back out tomorrow and stay out for a while.  Temperatures will be in the low 70s through the rest of the week, but temps will cool down Saturday and Sunday even though the sun looks to remain.

Lows will be in the mid to upper 40s through the forecast period.  Doesn't sound very exciting I know, but that's JUST what you want going into a weekend isn't it?

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 16th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/16/2012)

Be prepared for morning fog followed by some sunshine.  Another warm day lies ahead but be prepared for some showers.  Clouds will move in later in the afternoon and while not a washout there is about a 30-40 percent chance of showers tonight into tomorrow.  Highs will once again be in the low 80s and temps will get down right about 60 and another warm day is in store for Friday but expect even more cloud cover.

This feels a little more like a summer than winter pattern with a chance of showers each day - but we will also see some sun.  Looking ahead into the future it looks like a bit of a cool down is coming Sunday followed by a quick warm up early again next week.

Because things are so up in the air on when and where rain will actually fall - and the Orlando metro is so large I will try to tweet more often during the day as conditions change.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 15th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/15/2012)

Ok one more day - can you give me one more day?  Call this Mother Natures Valentine's Day hangover.  Yes Wednesday is not the best day of the week but the good news is that things improve vastly after today.

Expect showers all day Wednesday basically which means a horrible ride to wherever you are going and possibly an even worse ride back this evening.  Temperatures won't get out of the 50s like I told you yesterday and you better have that umbrella and a lot of patience on the roads.

But Annie said it best - and the sun will come out tomorrow (she did say that right?).  High temperatures Thursday and Friday will be right around 70 and I expect some sun.  A cool down is expected for the weekend - but right now - it looks like primarily sunny skies.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 15th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/15/2012)

Once we get rid of this pesky fog we are in for a pretty good day!

So once you are finished nursing that Valentine's Day hangover get ready for some sunshine and warmer temperatures than you've seen in a while.  Amazingly enough I'm looking for highs right around 80 and while I'm at it to keep things simple let's say the same thing for Thursday.  Lows will get down to around 60.

Things get a little tricky for the extended forecast so I'm going to leave it at that for right now - but it does look like some unsettled weather is coming for the later part of the week and depending on timing maybe the weekend.  Regardless of timing - once the sun does come back out the temperatures will cool down a bit nothing like what we saw last weekend.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 14th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/14/2012)

I had planned on getting you all a dozen roses, but I got you this weather forecast instead - guess that's why I've never been really all that great with relationships huh :-)?  Well either way Happy Valentine's Day - and if anyone actually takes their date to Golden Corral - could you PLEASE tweet me a pic @WDW_Weather...I'm sure she will LOVE that chocolate fountain!

I sure wish I had a better forecast for you on this very lovely day - but the weather will be far from lovely as I said yesterday as we go into your mid week.

Expect some sun this morning into early afternoon but highs will only get into the low 60s as another disturbance moves in from the north - I can already see this one on satellite and it looks like a rainy hump day with highs not getting out of the 50s.

We clear out and warm up as high pressure builds in on Thursday and Friday but then it looks like some more disturbed weather moves in just in time for the weekend, but we may see some sun on Saturday.  Wow, what a scrooge :-( - sorry!

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 14th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/14/2012)

Joking aside I think this forecast gift is actually a pretty good gift so here we go!

The cold air is all but a distant memory because as soon as the sun comes out today we are going to launch right back up into the upper 70s and continue to trend above average for the rest of the week.  In fact highs for your hump day will be even warmer as they top out into the low 80s.  Lows will barely get back into the 50s and that will happen very late tomorrow evening into Wednesday morning before the sun comes up - so your visitation from winter appears over.  I wouldn't rule out one or two more blasts before we are officially into spring but usually by this time of year we are not only adding daylight each day but we are getting warmer as well. Before you know it, you will be complaining on how hot it is!

Things get a little unsettled after Wednesday but let's leave it there for now - it is Valentine's Day after all!

Disneyland Weather Report for February 13th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/13/2012)

Wow well I sure do not like typing about things like this - but it looks to be a little unsettled throughout Southern California this week - especially if you are planning on going into the mountains.

Looks like Monday is going to be a bit showery - and I'm talking showery to impact morning and evening rush our commute so allow a little extra time to get where you are going.

Tuesday looks to be a good day though a little cooler than it has been with highs in the low 60s, but the sun should come out.  It looks like Wednesday the next system may be coming in which will bring some showers into the area ... now all of this may be good news for you skiers out there but not great news for those visiting Disneyland.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 13th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/13/2012)

Happy almost Valentines day - is everyone enjoying the romantic castle show?  Wait - and while I'm at it - is everyone enjoying WINTER?  Yes contrary to popular belief it is actually technically and scientifically speaking winter - though it sure hadn't felt like it throughout Walt Disney World!  That changed this weekend as a front came through and the arctic doors opened delivering plenty of cold weather throughout the country.

As I type this there is a freeze warning in effect for the early morning hours Monday but Mother Nature is a fickle creature and things will change quickly ... and for the better.  As dew points increase - frost is likely so make sure those plants are protected though by the time you read this it will be too late ... but ... the thought was there :-).

Plenty of sunshine can be expected today with highs in the mid 60s.  Once again the lows will get into the 40s - though likely temperatures will stay in the upper 40s THIS time.

And guess what - you are out of the woods.  Just like that - you go from winter to spring in a finger snap!  Highs will skyrocket into the mid 70s as early as tomorrow and increase to close to 80 by your hump day.

It's a bit early to say but there is a chance for showers on Thursday now in the long term - but we can revisit that later.

Disneyland Weather Report for the February 10th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/10/2012)

I've been talking about this cool down for a few days now so you shouldn't be surprised by it - but in case this is the first time you are hearing about it - get out there and enjoy today because well - just do it.

Expect mostly sunny skies today with highs in the low 70s with clouds building in the late afternoon into the early evening.

Lows will get down into the upper 40s but then here comes the rain.  Showers are possible on Saturday into Saturday evening and temperatures will cool down even more so be emotionally prepared for that.

Once the sun comes back out on Sunday it will still be cold (especially compared to the last two weeks) as highs will only be in the low 60s but it will be clear and sunny so what more could you ask for?

Walt Disney World Weather Report for the February 10th Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/10/2012)

I gotta be honest I'll be happy when this weekend is over.  This has easily been the hardest week to forecast thusfar in 2012.  Timing has been difficult to pin down but I've been talking about a cold front since early this week - well it is coming - and it may be coming a little earlier than originally thought.

So let's go for today - happy Friday by the way.  Expect highs in the mid to upper 70s and then expect clouds to thicken up as the day goes on and anytime after noon a shower followed by more than a shower can be expected.  Looks like that rain will continue into the evening into the overnight and even into maybe rope drop for Saturday morning.  The good news is that it looks like Saturday won't be a wash out and by the evening hours we will clear out but it will get cooler.

How cool will it get? Well for what Central Florida has seen this winter - REAL COLD! Expect highs only in the lower 60s Sunday - though temperatures will rebound quickly into next week.  Have that jacket handy because we will get down to about 40 degrees Saturday night/Sunday morning and you want to be prepared for that.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 9th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/9/2012)

Enjoy the warmth while you still can because some changes are coming this weekend into next week.

The sun will remain so there is the good news for today and tomorrow with highs right around 80 today and in the mid 70s for Friday.  Lows will get down to around 50 tonight but then cool into the 40s by early Saturday morning.

I can't rule out a sprinkle or two but it won't be anything to wash out your Saturday night - that said, have that light coat ready because highs on Sunday will only be in the low 60s and that trend continues right on into next week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 9th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/9/2012)

Well as I warned you earlier in the week - the forecast could change as I didn't feel a whole lot of confidence in the varying model runs we were seeing and lucky for you in Central Florida on vacation that HAS happened and while it hasn't been the best week throughout Walt Disney World it certainly has not been the worst!  Big changes are coming in the temperature department though so here we go.

As I said model confidence hasn't been high and it still isn't ... rain is coming but the exact timing and how much is still WAY up in the air.  What I can tell you is that a cold front is heading towards the area and it looks like it will get here sometime Saturday ONCE that happens it will clear out the clouds and lower those temperatures in a pretty significant way.

So for today in the short term expect highs to be kept a little bit down thanks to the increased cloud cover.  We should still make it into the mid 70s for a high.  Temperatures will only drop into the mid 50s for lows and then temps will rebound back into the mid to upper 70s for Friday to end your week.  Once again this is where things get tricky - clouds build and here comes the rain ahead of that front.

I don't want to call Saturday a washout but it looks like right now late Friday night into Saturday is when we can expect the worst weather to arrive.  Temperatures will then drop at least about 10 degrees when it comes to highs and we likely won't get out of the 60s on Sunday even though the sun should return.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 8th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/8/2012)

Remember that not so good day in Southern California?  Yeah - well that day was yesterday and it is a distant memory today as the sun comes back out and temperatures warm up!

The sun comes out once showers subside Tuesday morning - highs get into the mid 70s and we warm up from there and get towards 80 on Wednesday!

Sun continues through the rest of the week - but temperatures cool down just a bit.  Lows will be right around 50 through the period.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 8th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/8/2012)

Well lucky for all of us (especially those reading in Central florida) - the forecast keeps changing a bit.  Now as I said earlier this week - today was going to be the nice day - but it looks like that is going to continue into tomorrow.

After fog impacts the morning commute again the sun should come out for most of the day bringing temperatures into the mid 70s today into tomorrow.  Lows will get down into the mid 50s.  That said the forecast has been somewhat unsettled for the entire period and as I type this now I wouldn't be surprised to see things change.

The way things look now is that showers should hold off until Friday night into Saturday when a bit of a cool down looks to take place.

I am going to keep this short until I have some more long term data.

Disneyland Weather Report for February 7th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/7/2012)

Well they can't ALL be picture perfect post card days right?  I know you think you moved to Southern California so that the answer to my first sentence was yes but the fact is - you guys can deal with ONE bad day every now and again right?

Anyway Tuesday will be that day - expect rain developing by the time you leave this morning and that rain could continue right on through the evening rush hour which is always a good time.

Temperatures will only make it into the low 60s with all that cloud cover, but things rebound nicely tomorrow and through the rest of the week.

The sun returns and we are up around 71 for a high on Wednesday and a nice warming trend is on the way - so we'll be up in the upper 70s with plenty of sunshine by Friday.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 7th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/7/2012)

Even though I'm typing a weather forecast for the beginning of February - it sure feels like I am doing one for the summer months.  Those showers that popped up throughout Central Florida went away as the sun went down - very similar to summer thundershower activity and with dew points in low the mid 60s it sure FEELS like it might be the summer!  PLUS don't get me started about that little tropical feature we were keeping our eyes on - that's just something you don't see every day!

Anyway - those dew points are going to help out with some morning fog once again and it looks like we will remain unsettled for much of the week.  Again we aren't talking about washout days by any stretch of the imagination but showers could be expected anytime after noon.  High temperatures will once again be above average for this time of year and we will top out around 80 if you can believe that.  Low temps will be anything but low as we settle down right around 60 ... we may get down to the supper 50s.  More fog for Tuesday night/Wednesday morning will form and it looks like RIGHT NOW anyway that Wednesday should be mostly sunny before we have another chance for showers on Thursday.

Looking at the long term it looks like this pattern will break towards the end of the weekend - but with that comes more seasonable temperatures and in fact we may flip flop everything and end up BELOW average by the time next week rolls around.  So as Thunder Mountain continues undergoing some renovations - consider THIS your roller coaster ride throughout the Magic Kingdom :-)!

Hey who saw Eli - and where are your pictures?

Disneyland Weather Report for February 6th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/6/2012)

Looks like the fun might be over after one more nice day.  Expect plenty of sunshine today with highs around 70, but then it looks like a disturbance is moving in.

That said, it shouldn't be a wash out and it will only last about a day - so by the time you get to Wednesday you should be fine.

Tuesday looks a bit rainy but after that the rest of the week looks sunny with highs in the 70s and even upper 70s by the end of the week.

Walt Disney World Weather Report for February 6th from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/6/2012)

I truly cannot believe I was almost typing about a tropical disturbance.  But had I written this about 5 hours ago I would have been.  I waited until after the Super Bowl so everything was timely and in the time it took for the Blue Men to beat the Patriots - in that time I believe that I can say the Groundhog day storm of 1952 will remain the only tropical storm in the month of February on record ... for now.  But wow ... as I was looking the last couple of days I was shocked.

The Rest of the forecast is not so good or easy - temperatures will remain above average in the upper 70s but as a front approaches it looks like things will be a little unsettled through mid week.  I can't say to expect a rain out but I will say expect the chance for showers every day - I sound like I am writing this during the summer.

I would expect more sun Tuesday than I would today ... but thats just me.

Disneyland Weather Report for the February 3rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/3/2012)

Is anyone looking for a roommate :-)?  Honestly I can't complain about the weather where I am writing this from today, but my word it is gorgeous in Southern California and that will continue right through the weekend into next week!

Highs in the low to mid 70s will be the rule through Sunday with a slight cool down early on Monday.  But for the most part expect plenty of sunshine throughout the weekend, with some afternoon clouds a possibility.  Low temperatures don't even look to get below 50 until Monday morning.  That said, if you are visiting Disneyland and have never been there - with the dry conditions - as soon as the sun goes down it gets cool (cold) quick so always have a jacket handy if you aren't used to it.

Have a great weekend and if you are traveling this weekend and need a more specific forecast I'll be happy to help just tweet me @WDW_Weather.

Walt Disney World Weather Report the February 3rd Weekend from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/3/2012)

It really is beginning to look and feel a lot like summer (slight exaggeration), as temperatures remain above climatologically averages and I have to start talking about the chance for showers each and every day.

First things first - watch out for fog this morning especially before 9am.  This has been especially dangerous at times as the smoke from wildfires is making driving even more troublesome - so be careful.  Once the fog moves out we should see plenty of sun but we should also see plenty of clouds.  I will take precipitation chances for the most part out of the equation but as a front washes out over Central Florida the chance for showers is going to be with us from the end of the weekend into early next week...we'll have more information on exactly where and when as computer models come into agreement in the next 48 hours.  Basically with the front washing out we will have higher moisture levels in our atmosphere and all it will take is a disturbance to trigger off some showers and it looks like that will come to pass Sunday night into Monday (though timing seems to be constantly changing).

So in the short term expect warmer than normal temperatures through next week.  Sunny skies (with clouds) today - it looks like more clouds on Saturday and even more clouds on Sunday before we may finally see some showers Sunday evening/night.

Sorry to be so wishy washy but it is what it is right now - here - the glass IS half full - HAPPY FRIDAY!  If you are traveling this weekend and need a more specific forecast I'll be happy to help just tweet me @WDW_Weather.

Keep in mind I'm not talking about a wash out at all even IF we see some showers over the weekend - so relax - at least we aren't having a blizzard right? (Glass is half full)

Disneyland Weather Report for February 2nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/2/2012)

Well looks like your cold snap has broken (he says with an air of sarcasm).  Yes those temperatures in the mid 60s the past few days must have been brutal!

Temperatures are back up to around 70 today and they only get higher from there as we will top out in the mid 70s Friday and Saturday.

A whole lot of sunshine will be the rule all day long and then we will cool down (quickly as always) into the mid 40s pretty much every day through the weekend.

No news is good news as they say - and that's about as much as I can say about your forecast - there's NOTHING to complain about so get out there and make us all jealous with your sunshine and World of Color :-)!  Until next time!

Walt Disney World Weather Report February 2nd from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/2/2012)

Ugh - and yes it is never a good thing when a meteorologist starts a forecast with the word "ugh" (is that even a word)!

This is reminding me of things I type in the summer...it may rain ... it may not.  The good news if you listened to my weather forecast on Magic 24.7 yesterday is that I am a little less convinced we will see any shower activity at all today.  Computer models were differing in this last night so I waited as long as I could and just did my best ... it is nice when it comes out the RIGHT way especially for you vacationers.

The forecast continues to be problematic though as a couple of disturbances will graze the area - and a front will wash out over us.  All of these things increase our moisture and give us a CHANCE (just a chance) for shower activity - though it would likely be late.  Right now the BEST chance of showers looks to be Sunday night into Monday but again - that could easily change when you read this tomorrow.  So let's keep things in the short term shall we?

For today depending when you read this you will (and I say WILL with a great deal of confidence) see some fog out there.  Coupled with the wildfire smoke depending where you are going to be driving there could be some hazardous visibility issues when it comes to driving.  The fog should get up out of here soon after sunrise and by 9am we will be in the clear.  Another warm day (above average) will be with us today and that trend will continue into the weekend even with increased cloud cover.  Expect highs in the upper 70s the next two days and we will flirt with 80 by Saturday and Sunday.

And just like that we may be waving goodbye to winter friends :-) ... I mean it really has been mild for most of us throughout the country (he says as Denver gets pounded with snow).  Lows won't get much below 60 (think 58/59) through Sunday - so anyone from say Green Bay visiting to watch the Super Bowl will likely be in shorts their entire vacation!

Enjoy your day and remember - as I told my mom one day - this is the best job in the world because you can be wrong every day and not be fired ... :-)!  I kid I kid.  But Mother Nature, she's a fickle lady my friends so always keep your eye to the skies!

Disneyland Weather Report for February 1st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/1/2012)

Oh I'm sorry I didn't see you there - that's thanks to the fog this morning.

Fog will clear out in the morning and we will have another relatively sunny day with highs in the mid 60s.

The good news is that things just keep getting better and better as we head through the weekend with temperatures getting back into the upper 70s and staying through the weekend (or at least the mid 70s for the long term).

Low temperatures for the period through Saturday will be in the mid 40s.

Walt Disney World Weather Report February 1st from @WDW_Weather - (DL) (2/1/2012)

The problem with doing forecasts hours in advance to last the entire day is that local phenomenon change things in Central Florida every day.  That said this is more of a summer forecast than a winter one.

Today is going to be the best day we see for a little while - warmer than average temperatures with a decent amount of sunshine will be what you can expect (hi-78) ... clouds will begin to move in tonight.

This is where things get tricky because there are some disturbances that MAY affect us and they may not - but I would be remiss to not at least mention a chance of showers tomorrow through the weekend (yes the entire weekend).  The next front should pop through early next week clearly things out for a good week next week.
