Osborne's display features five million holiday lights that turn the Disney-MGM Studios' Streets of America into a winter wonderland complete with its own Florida "snowfall". Guests to the theme park may stroll through the sparkling scenery, soaking in the beauty of the multi-colored bulbs and intricate ornaments. Throughout the evening the lights "dance" to a medley of holiday tunes every 15 minutes through the electric wizardry of over 400 dimmers.

Jim Henson's Fantastic World at Orlando's History Center (WDW)

The Smithsonian Institute Traveling Exhibit "Jim Henson's Fantastic World" comes to the Orange County Regional History Center in Downtown Orlando. The exhibit features more than 100 works of art, photographs, documents, puppets, movie props, and other 3-D objects, as well as original video productions, including excerpts from his early career and experimental films. Visitors get to peek inside "Sesame Street," "Fraggle Rock," "The Muppet Show," and other elaborate imaginary worlds created by Henson. The Disney Wonder will venture to world's end & beyond on a journey to uncover hidden treasures of pirate legend and lore with Pirates of the Caribbean actors Lee Arenberg (Pintel) and Martin Klebba (Marty). The event festivities include seminars about the Pirates films, viewing of the three films, meet and greet with the guest actors, first opportunity to pre-purchase open and limited edition Pirates of the Caribbean themed merchandise and commemorative gifts. The Walt Disney Family Museum Project To Open (DL,WDW,OD,Movies,Coll,General)

The Walt Disney Family Museum Project will be located in the Presidio of San Francisco and will comprise three historic buildings: a 59,000 square foot museum; a 17,000 square foot building housing archive, administrative and additional exhibition facilities; and a 1,195 square foot mechanical plant facility. The museum is a family endeavor and will tell the story of Walt Disney's life through 10 galleries using a mix of different media, state of the art technology, and the personal effects of the family and its historic objects. Although some items will be licensed from the Disney Company, the Disney Company is not involved in the project. The museum is expected to open in August 2009, with the additional galleries coming on-line in 2011.
