There's no better time to visit Walt Disney World than during the holidays. From the moment you arrive on property you'll notice the decorations. It would be impossible to list everything to look for, so we've just tried to mention some of the things to look for in the major locations. But don't stop there. Wherever you decide to go you're sure to to see decorations appropriate for the location.
The Magic
Kingdom
Christmas can be found all over the Magic Kingdom with traditional
decorations on Main Street and themed festivities elsewhere. Highlights at the

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party: Selected nights between November 12 - December 21

Holiday Wishes: Celebrate the Spirit of the Season: A special version of Wishes performing during each Very Merry Christmas Party and during regular park hours on selected nights.

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade: Performs during each Very Merry Christmas Party and a daytime version on selected day.

Cinderella' Royal Wish: New this year - Cinderella Castle is transformed into a shimmering, glimmering ice palace. It's kicked off with a lighting ceremony with Mickey and the gang plus Cinderella and the Fairy Godmother. (Click for pictures: Castle Lights)

Meet Santa: November 22 - December 24 from 10a - 6p at East Center Street (Santa also is available during each Very Merry Christmas Party)
Epcot
Celebrating the holidays around the world is the focus at Epcot. The
festivities run November 23 - December 30th. Highlights include:

Candlelight Processional: A spiritual Christmas tradition. Nightly November 23 - December 30th.

Holidays Around the World: Epcot World Showcase transforms into a splendor of international holiday traditions and storytelling beginning Nov. 23. Holiday icons who delight children around the globe -- such as France's Pere Noel and Italy's La Befana -- make special appearances in their respective countries, while Santa Claus himself pays visits to the American Adventure showcase. Guests see holiday traditions and legends as they are observed around the world, with Hanukah and Kwanzaa customs on display as well.

Lights of Winter: A dazzling synchronized light show illuminates a canopy adorning the World Showcase breezeway bridge. Each evening the lights begin with the nightly tree lighting with Mickey and friends.

it's all just a set up for the biggest spectacle of them all...

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights: For the third year this amazing display of Christmas lights decorates the backlot and Streets of America. New for the lights this year: The spectacle of millions of sparkling lights has been enhanced to include choreographed "dancing" lights which swirl and soar to an exhilarating medley of holiday music every 15 minutes, thanks to electronic wizardry featuring more than 400 dimmers. Every building facade, all the trees, wreaths, bells and holiday figures dance to classic tunes among Florida "snow flurries."

Harlem Gospel Choir: New this year is the Harlem Gospel Choir which will be performing November 30 - December 25th

The Hollywood Holly-Day Parade: Disney characters, festively dressed parade cars and more in a daily Christmas parade.
Animal
Kingdom
Like the Christmas Tree in front of the park, the holiday decorations at
Animal Kingdom are unique. The decorations are up November 12 - January 6. Highlights at Animal Kingdom include:

Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade: A holiday parade with the rhythm you've become accustomed to at Animal Kingdom

Much of the park is decorated for the season. Camp Minnie-Mickey is a highlight where Disney characters in their holiday best. They've also each decorated their own Christmas Tree. Christmas Carolers can be found there as well and outside the park is a unique 65-foot Christmas Tree.
Downtown Disney
The Christmas spirit extends to Downtown Disney as well. And don't forget - it's
free!

Festival of the Seasons: Displays showing how different parts of the world celebrate during this time of the year (November 23 - December 24)

Santa Claus will be at Santa's Chalet near the World of Disney.
New Year's Eve
Walt Disney World Resort offers many options for
celebrating the official kickoff of 2008 -- from ringing in the New Year at a
special party at Downtown Disney Pleasure Island to getting festive in the
parks.
Pleasure Island at Downtown Disney: Throughout the final evening of the year, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island will be transformed into one big, high-energy street party for Walt Disney World partygoers 21 and older: six-hours of fun overflowing with live music, dancing, a sampling of gourmet delights, a champagne toast, plus spectacular fireworks. The party will take place from 8 p.m.-2 a.m. and will include a countdown to 2008 and a special fireworks celebration only Disney can deliver. Each guest on New Year's Eve will welcome 2008 with festive hats and noisemakers, plus a delectable dinner buffet and a midnight champagne toast -- all part of the admission price. Admission to the special-ticket party is $99 plus tax and includes entry to all seven themed nightclubs at Pleasure Island. Annual passholders can purchase up to two tickets at $89 each plus tax. A special version of "IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth" laser-light spectacular will be presented at 7:30 and 11:40 p.m. at Epcot. Latin crossover band Papo's Groove and the energetic DJ Indio Davila will entertain partiers at America Gardens Theatre, while the big band swing music of the Tom Butler Orchestra will fill World Showplace. Rockers can boogie down at Scooter's dance party at the Fountain Stage, plus techno rock at the China pavilion and classic rock 'n' roll at the Italy pavilion in World Showcase. The park is open from 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
Disney-MGM Studios s aglow with the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights presented by Sylvania. Millions of sparkling lights adorn the Streets of America backlot through Jan. 6, 2008. Special New Year's Eve park hours: 9 a.m.-1 a.m. Special entertainment includes a trio of "Fantasmic!" fireworks shows -- at 6:30, 8:30 and 10 p.m. -- plus a special showering of fireworks at midnight.
Magic Kingdom remains open until 1am with double the parade and fireworks. Guests can count down to the magical hour with the "SpectroMagic" parade at 7 and 10:30 p.m., plus "Holiday Wishes" fireworks at 8:30 p.m. and "Fantasy in the Sky" fireworks at 11:50 p.m. The park is open from 8 a.m.-1 a.m.
"Mickey's Jingle Jungle Parade," an outrageous street party starring favorite Disney friends, winds through Disney's Animal Kingdom at 3:45 p.m. Theme park hours are 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
