As I approach my ninth anniversary as a LP member, a new profile seems appropriate.
I was hired to work at Disneyland 3 times. I am a chronic Cast member--one who, whether working for the company or not--always thinks in terms of "we do this" and "we are building that" with regard to Disneyland. I think it must be a disease.
I'm a bit cantankerous. More than anything, I dislike "discussions" where the substance of the replies/responses is, "You are a moron." When that gets pulled on me, I typically give a terse reply and go on to more interesting things.
The foregoing is especially true when the topic of discussion is something subjective--like what is "good" or "worse" or "yummy" or has declined in "value" or what is "preferred" or whatever. If you come at me telling me I'm "wrong" in a subjective assessment, don't expect me to engage. I just won't bother with you.
(Seems a strange thing to put in a profile, but recent events got me thinking that I might as well 'splain myself a bit more.)
My favorite thing on LP is when an upstart braggart comes in screaming and yelling, and someone says something like, "Hey, dude/dudette--back off. We don't know you yet, so we're more reserved. This monorailblue--he/she has been here for years and years and years and so enjoys a bit more slack." I appreciate that immensely.
Anyway, I have more education than anyone ever really needs (put to poor use), a magnificently wonderful family (still growing, I hope), and a spouse beyond anything I could have expected. I live in California.
