Our team took a trip recently to the Pixar Animation Studios in Emeryville, California, just outside of San Francisco. They spoke with animators about Pixar’s role in the upcoming “World of Color” show. OCReg: Disney's Electrical Parade Set to Move Out
The Orange County Register reports the final spring dates for the night-time Electrical Parade at California Adventure are: March 19 to April 11 and April 16 to 18 before the parade heads to Walt Disney World. It is currently not specifically scheduled to return to California.

Annual Passholders can purchase DCA Food and Wine tickets starting February 4
The Official Disney Parks Blog has announced tickets for selected Signature events for the 2010 Food and Wine Festival at Disney's California Adventure go on sale February 4 for Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders only at the Special Offer Page. General sales of all Festival Signature events will begin on February 16 at 10 a.m. at www.disneyland.com/foodandwine.They've also released a short video of some Food and Wine highlights.

Today’s clip shows how various Disney cast members have been working behind the scenes to get ready for this spectacle. You’ll see video of projections on water screens, fountain-test footage from August 30, 2007, a lighting test on November 18, 2009, and a test of fire effects on November 24, 2009.

Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex will be renamed the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on February 25. The rebranding will include updating the site's technology adding dozens of high-definition video cameras and display screens, two jumbotrons, an audio system, and a broadcasting center with a satellite uplink to ESPN’s headquarters in Bristol, Conn and more.

Disney on Ice Celebrations features Princess Tiana and Mickey's New Voice, Bret Iwan
Feld Entertainment's newest Disney on Ice show "Celebrations" introduces audiences to Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen.
In the show's program Feld Entertainment has posted "in memory of Wayne Allwine" following the show's voice talents. Among the voice artists listed is Bret Iwan who according to the Chapman Recording and Broadcasting website competed nationally to become the new voice of Mickey Mouse. His first sessions with Chapman Recording was a voice used in a learning toy and then a series of prompts for the Disney cruise Line.

Reuters: ESPN, NFL sign 4-year pact on European broadcasts
ESPN has signed a four-year deal with the NFL to carry the English language broadcasts of their games in Europe. This will permit ESPN America to broadcast around 100 NFL games per season including the Super Bowl in 41 European territories.

According to the Disneyland and More blog, a major E-Ticket attraction based on the film Ratatouille has been confirmed for Disneyland Paris. An excerpt...
Forget about Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones Adventure or the Little Mermaid, the next Disneyland Paris big E-Ticket will be the Ratatouille attraction! This awaited E-Ticket which will be build at the Walt Disney Studios has been approved by the park's management and it's now confirmed - not officially, of course - that Ratatouille will be DLRP 20th anniversary E-Ticket.

DCA Executive to lead Shanghai Disneyland
Executive Vice-President, Creative, Walt Disney Imagineering Bob Weis has been appointed as creative lead for the upcoming Shanghai Disneyland Resort. Bob has never led a foreign park project and was chosen over Vice-President, WDI R&D Scott Trowbridge. Bob will lead all of the creative and master planning activities for the Shanghai project (inlcuding all hotels, retail, dining and entertainment development) that is currently awaiting approval from the central government in China.
