Disney Launches "Where's My Water?" Merchandise Line
Disney Mobile and Disney Consumer Products (DCP) today announced the first line of merchandise based on Disney's hit mobile game, "Where's My Water?". The new line extends the story of Swampy the Alligator, Disney's first original character for mobile, and includes an impressive line-up of licensees and retailers including, Hasbro, Inc., JAKKS Pacific/CDI, and Toys"R"Us. The "Where's My Water?" merchandise line also features Cranky, Swampy's reluctant friend and the alpha-male of the group, and Allie, the female alligator who humors Swampy's attempts to bring human culture to alligators.

'Disney Priness: My Fairytale Adventure' Coming This Fall to Consoles and Computers
Disney Interactive today announced the development of “Disney Princess: My Fairytale Adventure,” a new interactive journey from the globally successful Disney Princess franchise. Slated for release this fall, the video game will be available for the Wii™ system from Nintendo, Nintendo 3DS™ hand-held system and Windows PC/Mac. In the game, players will find that a spell has been cast over the beloved Princess worlds and will need to use their magic wand to help Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle and Tiana restore peace and bring “happily ever after” back to each kingdom.

Disney Interactive Launches Original Web Series for Gamers "Power Up" Hosted by Christina Grimmie
Power Up, Disney Interactive’s new original web series gives families an inside look at the exciting world of video gaming. Presented by Kinect for Xbox 360, the weekly show on Disney.com is hosted by YouTube and musical sensation, Christina Grimmie, who will cover a wide range of game-related topics, including reviews of popular console, mobile, social and casual games. The series will also feature comedic game-based skits with other popular YouTube stars, as well as original songs and music by Grimmie. Have you heard? Disney Animal Kingdom Explorers is coming soon and it’s the first social game inspired by our very own Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Yes, it includes “The Tree of Life,” and during game play, you’ll have a chance to create and nurture your own wildlife nature preserve around it – with exotic animals. A few of the game’s locations will be familiar to Disney Parks Blog readers.

Epic Mickey 2 Will be a Musical and the Characters Will Talk
Epic Mickey designer Warren Spector told the Washington Post he realized he made a big mistake with the original Epic Mickey - he didn't have the characters talk. He says not only will that be rectified in the sequel, but the new game will actually be a musical.

Brave: The Video Game On the Way for PS3, XBox 360, Wii, DS, PC/MAC
Inspired by “Brave,” the upcoming Disney Pixar animated fantasy adventure movie, Disney Interactive Media Group announced today that “Brave: The Video Game” is currently in development for the PS3, Xbox 360® video, Wii™, Nintendo DS™, and Windows PC/ MAC. The video game invites players to run, jump and battle their way through the rugged landscape of mythical and mysterious Scotland. A third person action-adventure, “Brave: The Video Game” expands the tale beyond the movie’s storyline. Gamers can play as Merida, an expert archer and heroine, and in the console versions, players can also play as other entertaining characters from the film. By using their wits and bravery, gamers will also be able to wield a sword and bow to defeat fierce enemies, break a magical curse and save a kingdom. The video game will release summer 2012, in conjunction with the film.

The latest downloadable content for Disney Universelaunches today! “The Muppets Costume Pack,” inspired by the hit family comedy, “The Muppets,” is available now for download from Xbox LIVE and PlayStation Network. Video: Disney Junior Unveils New Toy Line at Toy Fair 2012
At this years American International Toy Fair in New York City Disney unveiled the new Disney Junior toy line with David Arquette voice of Skully and Sharon Osbourne voice of Mama Hook from the hit Disney Junior show Jake and the Never Land Pirates. Mickey Mouse showed us his moves with a hip hop dance routine and Minnie Mouse does the quick-step with David Arquette.

Disney Unveils New Disney Junior Toy Line During 2012 American International Toy Fair
Today, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) unveiled a colorful and playful assortment of more than 130 toys inspired by four series on Disney Junior , the popular programming block on Disney Channel that will also launch as a 24-hour channel expressly for kids age 2-7 and their families on March 23. Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse were joined by special guests Sharon Osbourne and David Arquette, voices of Mama Hook and Skully on Jake and the Never Land Pirates, to treat the toy and entertainment industry audience to a light-hearted talent show previewing new toys and upcoming content inspired by Jake and the Never Land Pirates, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Minnie's Bow-Toons, and Doc McStuffins, a new animated series set to debut on Disney Junior next month about a six-year-old girl who heals toys and stuffed animals out of her backyard clinic.

MouseSurplus to be featured on A&E Series 'Shipping Wars' Feb 7
Orlando based Disney Collectible clearinghouse, MouseSurplus, to be featured on the hit A&E series “Shipping Wars” shipping one of a kind Star Wars props: a 25 foot tall Star Wars AT AT Walker and 8×6 foot X-Wing Fighter to a customer in Utah. The segment was filmed on location at the MouseSurplus store front in Kissimmee, Florida. The episode, “May the Ship Be With You”, is the 10th episode of the series and premieres February 7, 2012 on A&E at 9:00 PM ET.

Disney Store Announces Its 2012 Plans
Disney Store recently announced that its award-winning store design will be in 12 countries by the end of 2012. The store opening slate includes an inaugural location in Shanghai, China opening in the fall, making it the twelfth country to receive the interactive retail model. More guests than ever before in North America will experience the immersive shopping destination as 13 new and remodeled Disney Store locations are scheduled to open in 2012, and Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Utah, and Virginia will receive their first new concept store in the state. The city of Sendai recently held the grand opening of its first newly-designed location in Japan as thousands of guests shared in “the best 30 minutes of a child’s day,” and Disney Store in Milan, Italy will host the grand opening of its newly-designed store in February 2012.
