Cablevision customers lost access to Disney's ABC stations early Sunday morning after the two sides couldn't come to an agreement over monthly subscription fees. The change comes the same day as the Oscars are broadcasting on ABC.

On Thursday, Nov 5, Stephen Slesinger, Inc filed a notice of appeal to obtain unpaid past royalties from Disney. Disney calls the announcement a distortion stating "SSI's claims were dismissed in federal court. We've always acknowledged that some of the rights we obtained are royalty-bearing and continue to be so. I don’t know what the motivation is, but a decision was made awhile ago."
