Disney Store Locations to Host Free Halloween Parties Friday and Saturday
From the Mom and the Mouse blog at The Orlando Sentinel...
The free events are at 4:30 and 6 p.m. Friday and 10:30 and noon Saturday. Both Central Florida locations — Florida Mall and Seminole Towne Center — will be participating. During the parties, guests will be invited to play games, take part in a costume parade and watch Rapunzel’s welcoming ceremony.

Disney Store "Unlocks Imagination" at Santa Monica Place Grand Opening
Disney Store continued the worldwide roll-out of its newly-designed stores with a grand opening event at Southern California’s Santa Monica Place. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, celebrity guests and mom bloggers helped officially open the third newly designed Disney Store in the United States. Guests lined up to receive their free Disney Store-branded Mickey ears, build their very own custom car in the Disney·Pixar CARS-branded RIDEMAKERZ experience, and wave their wand in the Disney Princess Castle’s magic mirror to activate an enchanting storytelling moment featuring their favorite princess. In the Disney Store Theatre guests were treated to a special eight minute preview of Walt Disney’s Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, releasing on Disney Blu-ray and DVD September 21st. Adding to the excitement was a group of L.A.’s top mom bloggers blogging live from Disney Store and sharing the magic with their readers.

Grand Opening Celebration of the New Disney Store Santa Monica Place on August 6th
Excerpted from the Official Disney Store Blog...
...The new Disney Store will offer guests the opportunity to build their own Disney-Pixar CARS-branded RIDEMAKERZ custom car (see photo right,) behold their favorite princess in the Disney Princess Castle's magic mirror and choose a Disney song or short from the video jukebox to watch on the movie screen in the Disney Store Theatre. They'll also be able to select from an expanded assortment of exclusive Disney Store merchandise for kids of all ages, including select Adult Apparel and Disney Parks Authentic Vinylmation.
The festivities start at 10:15 am and are scheduled to go until noon. Oh, and the lucky first 500 guests at the Grand Opening Celebration on Friday will get free Mickey ears!

It's fresh, it's new, it's incredibly hip. Soon to be the biggest hit of the new toy season, Perry... the Platypus Inaction Figure! It does nothing! And now, on August 14th, two-thirds of the way into the 104 days of summer (day 70?), you get the chance to make your very own Perry the Platypus Inaction Figure at your local Disney Store!
Date: Saturday, August 14th TWO SESSIONS: 11:00 am and 1:00 pm (each session lasts approximately 40 minutes)
Step 1: Watch "Toy to the World," the Phineas and Ferb Episode that inspired Perry the Inaction Figure.
Step 2: Your friendly Disney Store Castmembers will walk you through the building of your very own Perry the Platypus Inaction Figure - your's free to take home!
This event is designed for ages 6 and up with a minimum age requirement of 3 years old. Perry the Inaction Figure kits are available while supplies last, one per attendee. Event subject to change or cancellation without notice.

Two Guys Named Joe – John Canemaker Book Signing August 18th

Noah – World of Color Vinylmation Signing August 14th

Your friends at Disney Store are hosting an event where you and your kids can create a unique Froggy Visor craft and you'll have the opportunity to show off your dancing skills at our mini Mardi Gras party. Participants will receive a recipe card from Tiana's cookbook to take the magic home and have fun creating unique Froggy-in-the-Water cupcakes.

Pam Burns-Clair at Walt's Barn for Harriet Burns book February 21
Pam Burns-Clair, co-author of the new book Walt Disney’s First Lady of Imagineering: Harriet Burns, will be at Walt Disney’s Carolwood Barn on Sunday, February 21 to sign copies of the book and talk to guests from 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Pam is the daughter of the late Disney Legend and Imagineer Harriet Burns. The book was co-authored with Disney historian Don Peri.
