OrSen: Jess Rubio, Caricaturist at Disney Parks, Turned Talent into Franchise
The Orlando Sentinel shares the story of Jess Rubio who began as a sketch artist at Disneyland in 1957 and went on to own Rubio Arts Corp with 78 employees at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Rubio passed away recently at the age of 77. The article shares beautiful memories from his wife and daughter.

Tom Bosley, Howard Cunningham of 'Happy Days', Dies at 83
The Associated Press is reporting Tom Bosley best known for his role as the dad, Howard Cunningham on the long-running 'Happy Days' has died at the age of 83. Disney fans will recall that Tom Bosley originated the role of Maurice, Belle's dad in the Broadway production of "Beauty and the Beast" and he was a comedic villain who tried to kidnap the goal-kicking mule "Gus" in that 1976 Disney comedy.

BirminghamNws: Actor Glenn Shadix Voice of Halloweentown Mayor Dies at 58
The Birmingham News reports actor Glenn Shadix who voiced the Mayor in Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" has died at the age of 58. Shadix was a frequent guest for Disneyland's events celebrating the opening of Haunted Mansion Holiday for the season. At those events he shared that Burton invited him to be the Halloweentown mayor in the midst of boisterous pool party.

CBSNews: Cammie King Conlon, "Gone with the Wind" "Bambi", dies at 76
Actress Cammie King Conlon who is best known for her role as Bonnie Blue Butler the daughter of Rhett and Scarlett O'Hara in "Gone with the Wind" has died at the age of 76. Disney fans will recall she provided the voice of Bambi's love, Faline. She was 7 at the time and it was her final film role.

Fess Parker who played Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone on TV, dies at 85
Disney Legend Fess Parker best known for his portrayal of Davy Crockett King of the Wild Frontier has passed away at the age of 85. Disney CEO Bob Iger issued the following statement:
Like many kids growing up in the 50’s, Davy Crockett was my first hero, and I had the coonskin cap to prove it. Fess Parker’s unforgettable, exciting and admirable performance as this American icon has remained with me all these years, as it has for his millions of fans around the world. Fess is truly a Disney Legend, as is the heroic character he portrayed, and while he will certainly be missed, he will never be forgotten.
