Club Penguin Holds Another Marvel Super Hero Takeover Now through May 7
Penguins are once again assembling as Marvel Super Heroes and Super Villains in Disney’s Club Penguin, the #1 virtual world for kids, for this year’s all-new Marvel Super Hero Takeover event. Now through May 7, penguins will be called to defend the city of Penguintropolis and bring members dressed as Marvel Super Villains to justice before they take over with their destructive robots. After choosing sides, members can suit up in over 25 Marvel costumes like Super Heroes Iron Man, She-Hulk, Captain America and Sif or the more mischievous ensembles of Marvel Super Villains like the Mandarin and Loki.

Disney's Club Penguin Reaches All-Time Traffic Record
Club Penguin, the #1 virtual world for kids, set an all-time one-day traffic record, with 1.8 million players logging into the world on November 23 during its Operation Blackout event. In the Operation Blackout event the Island of Club Penguin was under attack from notorious villain, Herbert P. Bear, and players were enlisted as secret agents and save the island.

Disney Overhauls Disney.com For the Third Time in Five Years
The New York Times writes about Disney's struggles to master the Internet as it redesigns Disney.com again. The company's gaming, mobile and Internet division has had 15 consecutive quarters of losses totalling $977 million.

Where's My Water? Presents: Swampy's Underground Adventures Launches Today
Disney Interactive announced today the online launch of the new short form animated video series, Disney Where's My Water? Presents: Swampy's Underground Adventures on Disney.com and Disney's YouTube channel at YouTube.com/DisneyShows, with plans to premiere the short form series on Disney Channel beginning in November. Swampy's Underground Adventures follows the hilarious and unpredictable adventures of Swampy, Disney's first original character born on mobile and star of Disney's #1 new mobile franchise Where's My Water?. The series also marks the first production from Disney Interactive's collaboration with YouTube to bring original family-friendly video series to the web.

Disney’s Club Penguin Kicks off the Ultimate Music and Dance Party
Disney’s Club Penguin kicked off the Make Your Mark: Ultimate Jam event, which transforms the #1 virtual world for kids into the biggest and most fun music and dance party ever. The party will feature guest appearances by Rocky and CeCe penguins from Disney Channel’s top-rated series, “Shake It Up,” marking the first time players will have the chance to interact with Disney Channel personalities in world. Right before the event, ClubPenguin will also release its first-ever single and music video, “The Party Starts Now” in English, French, German and Spanish.

Club Penguin Launches Free Version of the Hit Mobile Game “Puffle Launch” for iOS and Android
Club Penguin (clubpenguin.com), the #1 virtual world for kids, has released a free version of its hit mobile game “Puffle Launch” for both iOS and Android.
“Puffle Launch” originally debuted on the App Store in September of 2011 for $0.99 and became an instant hit, ranking in the Top 10 in 24 different countries. To date, more than 100 million coins have been transferred from the app to clubpenguin.com.
Available now, “Puffle Launch Lite” features fast paced gameplay in which players blast pet Puffles through a series of six challenging levels. Using multi touch skills to the extreme, players must dodge crazy obstacles to get back all of the Puffle Os and ultimately discover amazing surprises. Did Disney Forget to Renew the Club Penguin Domain Name?
ClubPenguinInsiders.com, a blog that writes about Disney's Club Penguin online community, writes visitors to the site this morning were greeted with a message from Network Solutions that usually indicates a domain has expired and their check of the domain's WhoIs record confirmed that it had expired. The site has since returned to operation.
