Deadline.com reports Disney recently pulled an episode of the Disney Channel show Jessie. The episode, "Quitting Cold Koala," had two scenes where characters made fun of someone's glutten alergy.
Deadspin.com is reporting that ESPN is laying off more than 400 of their 7,000 employees today. They also report another source says the number is in the hundreds, but not quite that high. ESPN did confirm to them that they are "implementing changes across the company." ESPN has been a hugely profitable division of Disney but Disney recently commited to cutting costs across the company. According to the article, ESPN has not had a major staff reduction since 2009.
Production has begun on Star Wars Rebels, an exciting, all-new animated television series based on one of the greatest entertainment franchises of all time. Scheduled to premiere in fall 2014 as a one-hour special telecast on Disney Channel, it will be followed by a series on Disney XD channels around the world.
Disney / ABC has released an extended (3 1/2 minute) promo for Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, the spinoff to Once Upon a Time coming to ABC in Fall 2013.
ABC has released a new, much longer (2 1/2 minute) trailer for SHIELD, coming this primetime this fall. The trailer gives a pretty good sense of the feel of the program and also some understanding as to how Agent Coulson, who was killed in The Avengers, is starring the show.

During today's Upfront presentation, ABC announced it would air a "Toy Story of Terror" Halloween Special featuring the original voice talent.
Variety reports Disney will be launching a Watch ABC app at its Up Front on Tuesday. That will make ABC the first broadcast network to have an app that allows users to watch live TV. Disney already has a Watch ESPN app and live watching apps for its three Disney Channel networks.

An article on Yahoo! finance discusses the recent announcement that ESPN is in discussions with at least one major cellphone carrier to allow their customers to watch ESPN content without limits on their smartphones.
Netflix, Inc. and The Disney/ABC Television Group today announced a new multi-year licensing agreement that will make Netflix the exclusive U.S. subscription television service for one of the most popular shows on Disney Junior, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, as well as fan favorite Disney XD show Tron: Uprising. In addition, Handy Manny, Special Agent Oso and JoJo's Circus will also be available for members in the U.S. to watch instantly later this month.

The Hollywood Reporter writes Disney will launch a new, free-TV version of its Disney Channel in Germany, Europe's largest TV market, starting in January next year.
