A video look back at Disneyland Christmas Parades

The Official Disney Parks Blog has posted a fun video looking back at Disneyland Christmas Parades of the past year-by-year. Quoted from the site...

The first parade at Disneyland debuted in 1958 and it was called “Christmas in Many Lands Parade.” The name changed in 1961 to “Parade of Toys and Parade of all Nations,” but then switched back to “Christmas in Many Lands Parade” until 1964. The following year it became “Fantasy on Parade” and that was a name that finally stuck for several years. In the 1980’s the park debuted a new paraded called “A Very Merry Christmas Parade” and finally in the mid 1990’s “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” made its way down Main Street U.S.A. Take look at this historical video and enjoy a look back.

WRONG! No Tree for the Grand Californian?

Back on 11/30 we reported there was no tree for the Grand Californian and a Cast Member had said there wouldn't be. That was all true, but the info from the Cast member wasn't accurate. There was no tree then but there is now. In fact, I saw it with my own eyes yesterday and it's as big and pretty as ever. So we happily stand corrected.

No Tree for the Grand Californian?

While taking holidays photos this past weekend we didn't see a large Christmas Tree in the Grand Californian Lobby. Instead there are three regular-sized trees off to the side with Santa's chair in front of them. We were told by a Cast Member there wouldn't be one this year. Looking back at our pictures from last year there definitely was one.
