Man Sentenced in Plot to Sell Fake Disney Pins
An Anaheim man who pled guilty to importing $2 million worth of counterfeit Disney pins from China has been sentenced to one year in jail.

Engine-Ears Toys to close on July 31st, Greetings from California on August 28th
From the Official Disney Parks Blog...
Hop on board at Engine-Ears Toys before July 31. That’s right, in a little less than a week this “Engine-Ear” will leave its station and hit the tracks as we pave the way for an entire new set of stores set to debut in Summer 2012. So for those of you who love to create your own Mr. Potato Head, you better keep an “eye” out and a “nose” to the ground so you don’t miss out. But I’ll be around to lend you a “hand” and tell you where you can find them. That’s not all… on August 28, we will also bid a fond farewell to our friendly store location, Greetings From California. While we are sad to see it go, I assure you that the stores taking its place, set to debut next year, will be the hit of the street and the talk of the town. But you’ll have to wait a few more months to find out more. While I know it seems like there are a lot of changes underway, I promise you that we have many great things “in store” in the coming year. I look forward to sharing these great offerings with all of you in the coming months.

Perfume Shop Returning to Disneyland's New Orleans Square

Disney Introduces Theme Park Themed Candy ("Please Stand Clear of the Chocolate")
At Epcot this past weekend we noticed several new candies available that are theme park exclusive and - in some cases - theme park themed. Below is a picture of the display. Click the larger version for a better look. Some of the wording on the individual boxes is pretty funny.

DPB: Disney Gallery to Open "Magic on the Water - The Art of the Happiest Fleet on Earth"
Disneyland's Disney Gallery is readying an exhibit that pays tribute to Disney ships from Storybook Land to the Disney Dream. And on January 29th artists Jody Daily, Jeremy Fulton, Kevin Kidney, Larry Nikolai, Noah and George Scribner will be on hand for a special appearance and signing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Cool Letterpress Sleeping Beauty Castle
Ran across this today on Twitter and thought it was very cool - a Letterpress poster of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Letterpress meaning the entire picture is made up entirely of letters and other characters (in my day we called in ASCII Art). To quote the page... "The image is made up of individually placed letterforms and ligatures from the Affair typeface. Each and every character was sized & placed by hand.". Very cool, check it out. (thanks to @gmaletic)

Mickey Harker takes an early look at D Street (coming to Disneyland's Downtown Disney December 19th) on the official Disney Park blog. An excerpt:
Ever wish you could be in two places at once? Well, at D Street you can. I stopped by the new store just the other day, prior to opening, and it’s safe to say this is not your typical Disney location. This new location seems to push the envelope. The walls are tagged in a graffiti-like style with familiar Disney characters, and the artwork, apparel and accessories that line the walls have a much more dark, creative vibe. Even some of the clothing labels featured in the store, such as Bloc 28, The Art of Princess, Anime, Rock n’ Rolla and Harajuku Lovers, as well as jewelry designers Tarina Tarantino and Classic Hardware, take the underground art to a different level.
