Car Masters Weekend Returning to Disney World June 14-16
Car Masters Weekend, now in its third year, is the perfect way to celebrate Father’s Day as Downtown Disney West Side hosts a classic car show with a modern twist June 14-16, 2013. Featuring all things “Cars,” the event showcases more than 150 classic, muscle and exotic cars; a chance for guests to meet “Cars 2″ stars Lightning McQueen, Mater and Finn McMissile; and special appearances by automotive designer Chip Foose and Disney-Pixar “Cars” filmmaker Jay Ward. Completing the car-nucopia of events, fans may purchase tickets for a ”Cars” & “Cars 2″ movie marathon at AMC Downtown Disney 24, “test drive” Ridemakerz “Cars” models, and enjoy caricatures, themed food and beverage, live entertainment and more. Entertainment subject to change.

WDW's Downtown Disney Now Serving Cones from DCA's Cozy Cone Motel
Some of the more popular food items added to Disney California Adventure's Cars Land were the Cones at the Cozy Cone Motel. Now, two of those popular cones are available at Marketplace Snacks outside World of Disney at the Downtown Disney Marketplace. The two items available are:
- Chili Con Queso: Chili and cheese served in a bread cone with chips
- Meatball Cone: Turkey meatballs and sauce with provolone served in a bread cone with chips

Artist Fabio Napoleoni at WDW Downtown Disney's Pop Gallery Mar 30 and 31
Artist Fabio Napoleoni will be at Walt Disney World's Pop Gallery at Downtown Disney March 30 and 31st. He will be a part of their second annual Easter Weekend event "CAPTIVATING LOVE: Memorable Moments from the Movies that Touch the Heart" Napoleni will be there Saturday 6p-10p and Sunday 2p-4p. Pop Gallery is located at Downtown Disney Westside next to the AMC Theatre and Splitsville.

New Downtown Disney Parking Garages May Cost Taxpayers Millions
Smart business or taking advantage? The Orlando Sentinel reports Reedy Creek, Disney's "personal" government, will construct the $85 million parking garages being added as a part of Downtown Disney's makeover to Disney Springs. The arrangement will allow Disney to save money while costing Florida and federal taxpayers by enabling the garages to be financed with tax-free bonds. In addition, as a government agency, Reedy Creek will not have to pay taxes on materials. Disney says the garages are an important part of a broader transportation overhaul for the expansion that will ease traffic in the area. They also note the Florida legislature, in creating Reedy Creek, specifically allows them to create infrastructure pieces including parking garages.

Splitsville Not Available or Bowling March 20th 5p - 9:30p
Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney will be partially closed on March 20th for a private event from 5p to 9:30p on Wednesday, March 20th. Limited dining seating will be available on the first floor and on outside patios and in the bar area, but bowling will not be offered during this time. The entire venue should reopen at 9:30p.

Downtown Disney Marketplace Bus Station Closed for Refurbishment
The Downtown Disney Marketplace Disney bus station will be closed from February 3 through February 24 for repaving. Guests should use the Pleasure Island bus station near Planet Hollywood during this time.

- Category 2: Adult: $99.05. Child $78.81
- Category 3: Adult: $79.88. Child: $63.90
- Category 4: Adult: $64.97. Child: $52.19
There are no performances on Sundays or Monday or the following dates in 2013: March 19, May 14-18, May 21-25, July 23, September 17-21, November 5-6
Also, for a limited time, Florida Residents can save 25% on Category 2 tickets for select performances from January 29 to March 9. (Click for details)

New Planet Hollywood Sign Going Up at Downtown Disney

Grenades Found at Disney World's Downtown Disney Posed No Risk
The Orlando Sentinel writes 3 hollowed out grenades were found at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney last night around 7:30p. The grenades were hollowed out and posed no danger but were removed and exploded just to be safe.

Complimentary Guest Wi-Fi Now Available at WDW's Downtown Disney
As of today complimentary wi-fi is now available at Walt Disney World's Downtown Disney. The hotspot is called "Disney - Guest". No login is required but a Terms and Conditions will need to be accepted. Guest who have already connected at their resort hotel will not need to accept the Terms and Conditions again. Please note - certain areas in Downtown Disney may experience slow speeds or not be enabled at this time. More areas will be coming online in the coming weeks. Complimentary wi-fi is already available at all four major Disney World parks.
